Today you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Curu National Wildlife Refuge for a guided hike. This refuge is known for its success at reintroducing native species such as the Scarlet Macaw and the Spider Monkey. It protects both the forest and the reefs surrounding the shoreline. Your naturalist guide will help you spot and identify the wildlife you encounter on your hike and offer you a refreshing drink at the end. This tour includes bilingual guide, entrance fee, drinks and transportation from Mal Pais, Montezuma, Santa Teresa, and Tambor. Transportation for clients staying in Ylang Ylang is not included, clients need to arrive at Sano Banano. One way transportation from your hotel to the refuge typically takes between 20 and 45 minutes depending on your pick-up location. Combined time of the hike and round trip transportation is usually between 3.5 and 4.5 hours. Please wear fully enclosed hiking shoes and light protective clothing. Today you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to a marina near Montezuma Beach to board a boat going to Tortuga Island. After about a 50 minute boat ride you will arrive and go snorkeling around a volcanic reef, go ashore for a provided lunch at an island restaurant, then spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or exploring the bustling activities of the island, or both! This full day excursion includes bilingual guide, snorkeling equipment, drinks, fruit snack, lunch and transportation from Montezuma, Mal Pais and Santa Teresa. One way transport from your hotel to the marina at Montezuma Beach can take between 15 minutes and 1 hour depending on your pick-up location. Combined time of round trip boat ride, snorkeling, lunch, island visit, and round trip transportation to your hotel can take between 8 and 9.5 hours. Please bring swimsuit, towel, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera and extra spending money if you would like to rent kayaks or buy things from the vendors on the island, including alcoholic beverages. You may also want to bring a cover up or other sun protective clothing. Note: this tour is subject to cancellation if not enough people sign up on the particular day you plan to go.

The tour includes an experienced guide, horses, fresh fruit, and water. Since the tour is tide dependent, you will be scheduled at low tide. It is best to wear lightweight long pants and you’ll need totally enclosed shoes for the stirrups. Please bring sun protection like a hat and sunblock, plus your camera to take home the memories.

Today’s canopy zipline tour is a trek over the tree tops in the rain forest northeast of the beach village of Montezuma. You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to ziplining headquarters. Here your bilingual guides will go over safety rules and help you suit up with a vest, harness and helmet. In the middle of the canopy, you will take a break at a waterfall and can go swimming. On the return trip to your hotel, there will be a short stop in the village of Montezuma to look around and do light shopping. This adventure comes with bilingual, certified guides, bottled water, all ziplining equipment and transportation from your hotel in Montezuma, Santa Teresa or Tambor.
