Nayara Gardens

Arenal

Good to Know

Nayara Gardens pairs private terraces and rainforest paths with casitas and villas in Arenal. Choose a Rainforest Pool Villa for its plunge pool or an Arenal Pool Casita for its hot-tub amenities. Open-air spa spaces, dining at Asia Luna and guided twilight walks give the stay its own rhythm, with time along the gardens to watch for birds and sloths.

Garden paths and a private rainforest retreat

At Nayara Gardens, the rainforest becomes part of the hours between excursions. Paths wind through lush gardens, private terraces invite you outside and casitas and villas bring natural textures into a comfortable retreat. Leave time to enjoy those smaller pleasures: a morning pause among the greenery, time in your villa's plunge pool or an evening meal without hurrying back into town.

There are details here that make a retreat feel comfortable: plush robes, locally sourced bath products and interiors that favor natural textures. Move from an indoor shower to the outdoor option when it appeals, or spend some time on your terrace before dinner. Beyond the room, flower-scented paths and birdsong give a walk toward the spa or restaurant its own interest.

Linger along the paths and keep an eye on the trees; watching and listening can become a small pleasure between the day's larger plans.

A place to linger

Private casitas and villas pair indoor comfort with outdoor space. The Rainforest Pool Villa has a plunge pool, while the Arenal Pool Casita includes a hot tub. Choose the accommodation around the outlook, layout and kind of soaking space you want.

The gardens hold more ways to slow down. Secluded Jacuzzis sit beside the planting, morning yoga offers a gentle start and the open-air spa brings the surroundings into treatment time. You can be active in the Arenal region and still keep a day with fewer plans, letting the resort provide the rhythm.

Dinner, then another kind of forest walk

Asia Luna brings bold flavors to the evening, while a private garden-side dinner offers a more intimate way to dine. These experiences give the stay texture beyond the room, from a meal among the gardens to watching for nocturnal wildlife.

Howler monkeys add another reason to listen to the forest, and sloths offer something to look for among the trees. A guided twilight walk explores a different side of that habitat, with a naturalist helping you notice nocturnal life. It is the contrast between those discoveries and private time in the accommodation that gives the stay its satisfying rhythm.

La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano region offer waterfall visits, whitewater adventures and more time outdoors. Nayara Gardens lets those outings sit alongside a stay with its own appeal. For a honeymoon, a family vacation or time away together, the attraction is the balance: explore the region, then return to the privacy and greenery you have made room to enjoy.

Ways to enjoy Nayara Gardens

  • Rainforest paths, garden greenery and private terraces make the hours between excursions part of the appeal, with time to watch for birds, howler monkeys and sloths.
  • Choose the accommodation around its outdoor comfort: Rainforest Pool Villa has a plunge pool, while Arenal Pool Casita includes a hot tub. Check the individual layout and outlook for the stay you want.
  • Indoor and outdoor showers, plush robes and locally sourced bath products extend the rainforest retreat into the routines of returning and getting ready.
  • Secluded garden Jacuzzis, morning yoga and open-air spa treatment spaces give you several ways to enjoy a day with fewer plans.
  • Asia Luna's bold flavors and the possibility of a private garden-side dinner make dining part of the experience, including evenings when you prefer to stay at the resort.
  • Guided twilight nature walks introduce the rainforest after daylight fades; wildlife encounters depend on the forest rather than an arranged sighting.
  • La Fortuna and the Arenal region provide waterfalls and whitewater outings, allowing honeymoons, couples' trips and family stays to balance resort time with exploration.

This was our Favorite place to be. The rooms & grounds are Impressive & Immaculate. The food is fantastic & the Servicio is Outstanding! We were located close to the Amor Loco restaurant & easily made friends with the Staff there. We ate there daily & enjoyed using the Infinity lap pool there. Our room had Infinity jacuzzi on the back deck. We had an outdoor double shower as well, plus the glass enclosed double shower. inside. the bathroom. We were surrounded by beautiful flowers & vegetation everywhere. This was our Dream Come True Destination!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful! The rooms were amazing and the staff was very friendly! Would definitely go back if I have the chance!

I would give more than a 10 if I could. The service level of the staff and the quality of the rooms and grounds is amazing. Never had an issue finding a spot to sit whichever pool or jacuzzi we wanted (and the resort was full). The food and cocktails were amazing and easily rivaled some of the best cocktail bars and restaurants in US and European cities I have visited. We did not have water one night before dinner and they came right away. A few minutes after arriving at the restaurant someone stopped by to apologize and ended up not charging us for appetizer and breakfast. We had to leave at 4:30 am to go to the airport, we had not even asked but they had packed a breakfast to go for each of us.

Want a great hotel and the finest staff. Would love to spend more time at this hotel, Very engaging staff.

The Nayara Resort hotel was absolutely fabulous and the most luxurious accommodations we have ever experienced. The hotel staff was surely trained to please, but at times they seemed to work a bit too hard to please. We wish the staff would have informed us that the "Costa Rica Grill Night" at the dining hall was very expensive. That dinner cost us over $175 plus tips, and I probably only ate $20 worth of food. This was on Tuesday evening at Nayara. Besides that, the hotel was excellent and would recommend it to anyone who is not sensitive to price.

We LOVED Nayara and all of the experiences we had there. The only complaint is that the furniture was very uncomfortable. All wooden straight back chairs with no padding in the back. It's too bad because the environment there is so relaxing.

Sherry C.

Nayara Springs was excellent. Our only comment is that the chairs in the room were not very comfortable. Bed was great and everything was superb. We hope to return, one of the best places we've been.

beautiful hotel. Great service!

Shane A.

Outstanding and amazing hotel and venue. Staff wonderful and helpful, venue is just beautiful, food was good albeit I would be wary of going to the duly tagged "Asian" restaurant venue for dinner due to the format and an abundance of mosquito's.

Dena M.

Beautiful resort. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everything was perfect. The breakfast buffet was amazing!

Claire A.

Tyler G.

Everything was perfect here.

Roger D.

We were lucky to be upgraded to the adjacent Nayara Springs hotel. This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in - true 5 star service and environment. The Nayara Hotel and Garden looked equally nice and had the same level of service. Cannot recommend highly enough, although it does come at a price.

Chris S.

Superb resort. Excellent accommodations and staff. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Olivia S.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! We wish that we had stayed here at least one more day because we enjoyed not only sitting by the pool or on the balcony looking at and listening to nature but the spa was amazing! We would've gone to the spa for a another service if we had had more time. The food was tasty and very well presented but overpriced.

This is an amazing hotel. Best I've ever visited.

Terri E.

Loved it and would go back!
