Find your place to stay
Poco a Poco Hotel and Spa in Monteverde offers a harmonious blend of cloud forest adventure and serene relaxation. Guests can unwind in the heated indoor pool or outdoor hot tub after exploring the nearby Cloud Forest Reserve. The hotel features a restaurant serving local and international cuisine with forest views, alongside the Naroa Spa and Wellness for rejuvenating treatments. Comfortable rooms and spacious suites, some with private terraces or hot tubs, provide a restful retreat amidst landscaped gardens and sustainable practices.
A warm swim after a cloud forest outing is one of Poco a Poco Hotel and Spa's inviting pleasures. The heated indoor pool and outdoor hot tub make it easy to move from an active Monteverde day to an afternoon devoted to unwinding. Landscaped gardens, a restaurant and Naroa Spa and Wellness give you reasons to enjoy the hotel itself rather than fill every hour with an excursion.
Walk through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, look for the region's birds or take a canopy tour for a different perspective on the treetops. Ziplining and horseback riding bring other possibilities. Coming back to Poco a Poco can be part of the anticipation: a swim in warm water, a soak outside or a spa treatment before dinner.
The comfortable rooms and spacious suites provide a restful place between those experiences. Categories have different layouts and comforts, with some offering terraces or hot tubs. Compare the accommodation if private outdoor space or a more secluded soak is part of the stay you have in mind; those features belong to particular choices.
Fresh, locally sourced ingredients bring local flavors and international dishes together in the restaurant. Its cozy atmosphere and cloud forest views make an evening meal part of enjoying the hotel, rather than another journey after a day out. Allow time to linger over dinner, then decide how much of tomorrow you want to spend away.
The gardens leave room for quieter moments between meals and excursions. Energy-efficient lighting, recycling and water-saving practices form part of the property's conservation approach, connecting the workings of the hotel with the landscape around it. Helpful staff can offer local recommendations and assist with requests as you shape your Monteverde plans.
Keep the Pacific Trade Winds spa benefit’s treatment terms in mind when choosing time at Naroa Spa and Wellness. If workouts are part of your holiday, confirm gym availability before your stay. Poco a Poco's appeal is in the balance: outdoor discovery, comfortable accommodation and worthwhile time devoted to the hotel itself.

Hotel front desk staff were great and accommodating.

One of our favorite hotels. My only issue here is that the room we had was loud. They were doing room construction or repairs at 7:00 A.M. with drills and everything. Also, the rooms were right in the middle of all of the walkways

This hotel met our expectations and was located within walking distance of local shopping and was great for getting out to the local parks.

Comfortable and convenient location.

The hotel grounds were very beautiful, with several nice walking paths.

Good hotel near downtown area in Monteverde. Close to shops and restaurants.

We loved this hotel! We loved that it was close to many stores and restaurants. We were able to walk to a lot of things. The hotel grounds were beautiful, and we especially enjoyed the small trail that went throughout the grounds.

Definitely missed not having a mini refrigerator in the room

The staff was great, the food in the restaurant is excellent as was the service, Although it was slow. Lily checked us in and was super accommodating and helpful. The room was very close to the street and there was a lot of noise from the cars. The hotel itself was definitely not our favorite.

The hotel was fine. The staff very helpful. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good. The only negative was to be greeted only to find out that we couldn't flush toilet paper down the toilet.

The pool and spa could have been cleaner. Not enough seating around the pool. We didn’t have too much of a view, but we were there only for a short time and appreciated closeness to town. Cute, funky hotel!

Pleasant enough. Super windy while we were there.

We didn't expect such beautiful grounds at this hotel. Definitely an unexpected surprise. Great location.

Lilly at the front desk was very friendly, welcoming, and kind! She gave us great restaurant recommendations, and we felt very well taken care of. The bartender at happy hour made us great drinks, especially guaro sours. We enjoy the live music at the restaurant. All restaurant staff were great! The hotel was a perfect location, walking distance to everything we wanted. The hotel grounds were beautiful, and so fun to walk around and explore. The only room for improvement was we would have enjoyed the hot tub to be much hotter, and our beds were very firm, just a little bit too firm for us. But that is just a personal preference. I would definitely return to this hotel, and recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Monteverde.

Hotel was better than expected. Very nice, with terrific staff and an excellent restaurant.

The staff were great, unfortunately in was really windy and th3 doors and windows do not fit so it was like sleeping in a wind tunnel. After 2 sleepless nights, I asked if the could send maintenance in to repair the windows that would not shut. We were immediately moved to a fabulous room in grounds… that’s what I call good service, staff couldn’t do enough. There were not complaints about the original room it was clean comfortable and had a lovely shower room but you can’t control the weather! Nice chocolates fruit and balloons for my birthday on arrival

The balcony was very small, more like a window box, but we did have lovely views of the sunset. The location of the hotel is good and close to a shopping mall which has several restaurants as well as some useful shop, including a couple selling outdoor gear. The hotel restaurant is a bit pricey but the food was good. Breakfast wasn't a buffet as is usually the case and you only get one choice from the menu although you get fruit juice, a fruit plate and coffee. We didn't use the pool or jacuzzi but they looked nice. We did enjoy the garden and garden trail and liked that a lot of the plants were named..

Very nice rooms and the pool was good as well, although small. It is a beautiful property and the view is amazing. I was not impressed with the breakfast options.

Wonderful hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was a bit dark. Restaurant very good

The automated check in was a new experience, but the staff were helpful and we enjoyed the hotel and the restaurant very much and would definitely plan to return.

PERFECT all the way! Easy access to the village. Staff really welcoming and friendly. Though... Had to learn to take a little less hot water when showering as they use ecological hot water system! Might be a good point to take up to your Northern Americans travellers! We are such big hot water users... But it brought a great light over our bad habit and we are now trying to do better! :-)
