Find your place to stay
Poco a Poco Hotel and Spa in Monteverde offers a harmonious blend of cloud forest adventure and serene relaxation. Guests can unwind in the heated indoor pool or outdoor hot tub after exploring the nearby Cloud Forest Reserve. The hotel features a restaurant serving local and international cuisine with forest views, alongside the Naroa Spa and Wellness for rejuvenating treatments. Comfortable rooms and spacious suites, some with private terraces or hot tubs, provide a restful retreat amidst landscaped gardens and sustainable practices.
A warm swim after a cloud forest outing is one of Poco a Poco Hotel and Spa's inviting pleasures. The heated indoor pool and outdoor hot tub make it easy to move from an active Monteverde day to an afternoon devoted to unwinding. Landscaped gardens, a restaurant and Naroa Spa and Wellness give you reasons to enjoy the hotel itself rather than fill every hour with an excursion.
Walk through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, look for the region's birds or take a canopy tour for a different perspective on the treetops. Ziplining and horseback riding bring other possibilities. Coming back to Poco a Poco can be part of the anticipation: a swim in warm water, a soak outside or a spa treatment before dinner.
The comfortable rooms and spacious suites provide a restful place between those experiences. Categories have different layouts and comforts, with some offering terraces or hot tubs. Compare the accommodation if private outdoor space or a more secluded soak is part of the stay you have in mind; those features belong to particular choices.
Fresh, locally sourced ingredients bring local flavors and international dishes together in the restaurant. Its cozy atmosphere and cloud forest views make an evening meal part of enjoying the hotel, rather than another journey after a day out. Allow time to linger over dinner, then decide how much of tomorrow you want to spend away.
The gardens leave room for quieter moments between meals and excursions. Energy-efficient lighting, recycling and water-saving practices form part of the property's conservation approach, connecting the workings of the hotel with the landscape around it. Helpful staff can offer local recommendations and assist with requests as you shape your Monteverde plans.
Keep the Pacific Trade Winds spa benefit’s treatment terms in mind when choosing time at Naroa Spa and Wellness. If workouts are part of your holiday, confirm gym availability before your stay. Poco a Poco's appeal is in the balance: outdoor discovery, comfortable accommodation and worthwhile time devoted to the hotel itself.

Excellent staff and accommodations

Very nice setting. I am glad we added the fourth night. This allowed us to enjoy the beautiful hotel and slow down our trip.

Very nice small hotel but there was some construction ongoing. The hills walking to the center of town are pretty steep.
Janet H.
Very nice accommodations. The restaurant was also nice, but I wish they offered more selections on their lunch/dinner menu.
Linda K.
Nice Hiking trails on property. Restaurant service was poor.

Arenal Springs Resort and Spa - was a top notch resort experience. The Hotel Poco a Poco was lovely as an eco-hotel and I had never had this type of experience before. The grounds were lovely with paths. They were also going through a large renovation. I am sure it will really be lovely once the renovation is completed.

Our Bromelia room was very comfortable and had a lovely garden view. The hotel was a short walk from restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed our stay in Monteverde at the Hotel Poco a Poco.

No comfortable places top hang out. Breakfast was mediocre.

Great location. The staff was amazing especially Lily, she was so helpful. The gardens at the back were really nice

Despite the weather as expected we were able to enjoy the area thoroughly. We loved exploring the area and we added a Don Juan coffee, chocolate, and sugar cane tour (recommend). Again we received a great presentation in our room per our anniversary complimented with a special chocolate strawberry treat. Restaurant menu and staff were excellent and good value!

Missed the hot springs of Arenal but the garden trail made up for it. We saw so much wildlife and birdlife on the trail behind the hotel. It was a hidden treasure.

Very accommodating staff, easy check in process

Renovaiton near the room caused comfort problems. The alternative offered was not practical

Characterful hotel with great food marred by ongoing building work inside and outside the hotel.

Sometimes the restaurant staff did not provide the same attention to the late arrival of guests to a table at breakfast where guests were sitting, eg. no drink or fruit plate was offered.

Room was on the small side. On the first day the pool was very cold and the hot tub was only warm. And one of the staff told my children not to jump/splash in the pool, but what else is a pool made for?

There was a fancy towel arrangement on the bed in celebration of my birthday but that was a week ago! Missed not having a fridge. Nice grounds
Hotel was great, a lot of stairs when you have a lot of luggage. The pool area also needs some shaded areas.
Mariana T.
Really nice hotel. The room was large and clean and felt much fancier than we expected. The fire pit was a bit with my daughter (because marshmallows). The pool was also fun.
Jennifer O.
We loved the location of this hotel and walking to town to go to restaurants and shops.
Colby H.
Very small pool and pool chemicals were so bad numerous had to leave the whirlpool

This hotel was fantastic. I appreciated with welcome drink when we arrived, and the robes that were available in our room. The breakfast was nice since we got to work off a menu and we appreciated the daily happy hour deals. The surrounding area was good for dining out. Perfect for our needs.

Best bed and best breakfast we had anywhere on the trip. Nice staff, affordable - would recommend to anyone.
