Nayara Springs was the best resort I have every stayed at.
Find your place to stay
Nayara Springs offers an intimate, adults-only escape within Arenal's vibrant rainforest, featuring luxurious private villas each with a hot-spring-fed plunge pool on its balcony. Guests enjoy personalized service, diverse gourmet dining, a world-renowned spa, and complimentary yoga, all set against the stunning backdrop of Arenal Volcano. This 5-star resort blends serene privacy with opportunities for both relaxation and adventure in Costa Rica. Complimentary breakfast delivery and daily replenished amenities enhance the leisurely pace of your stay.
A hot-spring-fed plunge pool on your own balcony gives Nayara Springs its intimate appeal. This adults-only resort sets private villas among Arenal's rainforest, with a daybed, a dining table for two and an outdoor garden shower making the space around your room as inviting as the interior. You can spend the morning over breakfast in the villa, then choose between exploring the region and simply staying awhile.
The villas bring polished hardwood floors, four-poster beds with comfortable linens and a living area into an open layout. Dual vanities and a choice of indoor or outdoor showers give getting ready its own leisurely pace. A personal host attends to your stay, while an espresso maker and daily replenishment of the mini-fridge and coffee supplies take care of familiar comforts.
Natural trails connect the dining spaces, two swimming pools, a rainforest-view gym and a yoga pavilion with complimentary sessions. The hilltop setting looks toward Arenal Volcano, and an 80-meter fixed hanging bridge offers another outlook over the greenery. In the evening, gentle lighting adds to the pleasure of a stroll along the grounds. Staff-guided walks provide opportunities to look for resident sloths and other wildlife, with the forest setting giving you plenty to notice along the way.
The spa received Conde Nast Traveler's Number 1 Spa in the World recognition in 2016, and a treatment adds another possibility for an afternoon at the resort. Together with your villa's warm plunge pool, it makes a persuasive case for leaving space between excursions. Air conditioning is available in the villas when you want it; you can shape the quieter hours around your own comfort.
Amor Loco combines Caribbean specialties with nightly live music, while Mis Amores serves artisanal bread and wood-oven pizzas throughout the day. Mi Cafecito brings together coffee roasting, a cafe lounge and a library. The pool bar offers an informal dining choice. For a different evening, Nostalgia Wine & Tapas pairs a five-course meal with five selected wines; private romantic dining overlooking the scenery can also be requested. Nayara Springs also provides a setting for adult wedding celebrations.
Complimentary breakfast can be delivered to the villa. It is an appealing way to enjoy the privacy you have chosen, with time at your own table before deciding what comes next. Dining, pools and garden paths give a day at Nayara Springs enough variety to feel complete without leaving the resort.
La Fortuna is the center for nearby ziplining, canyoning, river rafting and nature tours. Arenal Volcano provides the region's defining backdrop, while the resort offers a quieter place to return to together. This is an adults-only choice: keep that boundary in mind when comparing the Nayara properties for your party.
If you seek swift transportation, a private Piper jet can whisk you away to La Fortuna in just 20 minutes from either San Jose or Liberia airports, while ground transportation from the international airports typically takes around 2 hours.

Nayara Springs was the best resort I have every stayed at.

Nayara springs is an interesting one. While the idea of Nayara springs is awesome, the experience because of the logistics of the place is a bit annoying. The room itself was gorgeous, but the hot springs fed pool is not practical as it stays fairly hot during the day and night in La Fortuna. The biggest gripe is the width of the walk ways in Nayara springs which prevents convenient walking while golf carts travel. The need to rely on golf carts for mobility is a bit annoying as you must call and wait instead of being able to conveniently explore on your own. Additionally the room comp'd breakfast is very underwhelming. It seems they tried to blend Costa Rican and American style breakfasts together and it just didn't work well.

There are no words, this hotel BLEW us away. I wish we were both still there. The staff were INCREDIBLE and went above and beyond at every request. The villa was the most amazing place I've ever stayed. The entire resort was quiet, relaxed, romantic and beautiful. I can't stop gushing about this hotel to everyone I know. We can't wait to go back one day!

Honestly, this was the best part of the trip. Planning to come back one day again to experience Nayara in the dry season!

Nayara is incredible. It has everything you could ever want and service that can't be beat. Walking the grounds is a joy on its own, but couple that with all of the amenities, including an armadillo trail, a stunning spa and tons of great places to eat and drink, it's worth every penny.
