Hotel Nantipa

Hotel Nantipa delivers a luxurious beachfront experience to its privileged guests. Set on six acres of oceanfront land, guests can enjoy strolls on the beach and take in all of the beauty of the off-the-beaten-path Santa Teresa area while enjoying the stylish and elegant hotel. Simply put, the Nantipa Hotel embraces the concept of barefoot luxury and sustainable tourism practices as they are designated at the elite level with SLH. Hotel amenities include beachfront access, a swimming pool, a restaurant and bar, a small limited spa, room service, and WiFi in some areas.

Located on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, Santa Teresa is one of the most remote destinations in Costa Rica. This area offers world-class surfing and dozens of yoga studios. The beaches are beautiful, lined with palm trees and postcard-perfect scenery can be enjoyed in nearly every direction.

Visitors to the Santa Teresa area can enjoy the gorgeous beaches and world-class surfing but there are also many other activities available to help you fill your days. Adventurers can go on a canopy zipline adventure or ride ATV's. Nature lovers can go on a guided hike through the Curu Reserve or at Cabo Blanco National Park in search of playful monkeys or colorful scarlett macaws. There is also a tour that will bring you by boat to the beautiful Tortuga Island where you can enjoy a day of white sand beaches, snorkel, and take in the beauty of the gorgeous island.

Back at the hotel, guests can enjoy the beautiful beach area or even the swimming pool. The beach in front of the hotel has scenic rocks with small tide pools. A walk down the beach will lead to an area more suited for surfing or boogie boarding but keep in mind, swimming is not easy in this area due to the large waves. The large pool in the center of the hotel property is much better for swimming and it is surrounded by a lounge area with lounge chairs and hammocks. Guests of the Nantipa Hotel can also enjoy limited spa services in an open bungalow near the beach. A full spa will be coming soon.

Nantipa’s ocean view restaurant is located by the beach. The menu is inspired by local, Costa Rican cuisine with creative presentations and locally sourced ingredients. Fresh grilled seafood and ceviche are menu staples but the restaurant also serves favorites such as casados, gallos, tacos, and other local favorites.

All bungalows at Hotel Nantipa are luxurious and tastefully decorated. The Nanku Bungalows are 700 square feet, while the Ninta Bungalows are little larger at 800 square feet. All bungalows offer amenities such as Air conditioning, fan, cable TV, mini-fridge, and WiFi.

The Nanku Bungalows are in two separate buildings, each house four units, distributed between two floors. These units offer a separate sleeping area with either a king or two queen beds and either a terrace or balcony. The living room has a pullout sofa bed.

The larger Ninta Bungalows are built closer to the beach. These units offer a private plunge pool and large terraces with a hammock. They also offer an indoor/outdoor shower and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to pool.

Sustainability is a lifestyle and an important value that we hold dear at Nantipa. The hotel was designed under the latest norms and sustainability standards. Only six trees were cut during the construction process, and their wood was used both in furniture and in the construction process. Some of the most important sustainability practices used help maintain a balance between protecting the environment and resources with a high level of luxury.
