Set in a rainforest covered hillside overlooking the magnificent Pacific coast, Si Como No Resort Spa and Wildlife Refuge delivers an eco-friendly resort experience like no other. Located in Manuel Antonio, Si Como No is an ideal base for exploring the gorgeous beaches and national park this area is famous for. Resort amenities include restaurants and bars, swimming pool, spa, tropical gardens, trails, private movie theater, and WiFi in some public areas.
The majority of hotels and resorts in Manuel Antonio are in the hills above the beach area, so the beaches are beautiful and pristine with amazing scenery. It also means that they are not quite as accessible. For this reason, Si Como No Resort offers a complimentary scheduled shuttle service down to the beach area. The national park is at the end of the beach, providing vital habitat and a home to numerous species of rare and exotic animals.
In addition to the national park and beaches, Manuel Antonio offers countless activities for eco-tourists. Take a romantic catamaran cruise or more adventurous ocean kayaking excursion to see the gorgeous Central Pacific coastline and islands. Go to the Damas Island Estuary for a riverboat safari in search of crocodiles, monkeys, and anteaters. If you are looking for a faster pace, you can go ziplining, whitewater rafting, or canyoneering. These fantastic activities are just the tip of the iceberg as there are many more tours and activities available in the Manuel Antonio area.
The Greentique Wildlife Refuge & Butterfly Atrium is in the Si Como No property. For an additional fee, guests can access the reserve to see a variety of flora and fauna. This provides an extraordinary opportunity to photograph wildlife up-close in their natural habitat.
The grounds of Si Como No are surrounded by dense jungle and tropical gardens, so wildlife can often be observed from the rooms and common areas. The swimming pool area is like a tropical oasis with a lounge area, swim up bar, and waterslide. Everywhere you look, there are lush and vibrant colors, and of course, the jungle and ocean views are spectacular!
The resort's Harmony Spa provides a variety of treatments including massages, facials, volcanic mud, wraps, and scrubs. Their stress relieving approach starts with the positive energy felt as soon as you enter the center and continues with the use of natural ingredients whenever possible.
The resort offers two excellent dining options. Claro Que Seafood Grill and Wine Bar is an upscale restaurant, offering fresh seafood and a superb wine selection on a jungle view terrace. The Rico Tico Jungle Grill offers casual dining in a canopied dining area near the swimming pool. The restaurant offers jungle and ocean views and international and Costa Rican cuisine.
Rooms at Si Como No are tastefully decorated with a tropical theme. All rooms offer air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mini-refrigerator, safe box, and phone. The Superior Rooms have balconies or terraces with partial ocean and jungle views. Deluxe Rooms offer panoramic ocean and jungle views from the windows and private balconies. Deluxe Plus rooms are twice the size of the previous rooms, offering a private balcony and sweeping ocean and rainforest views. The Honeymoon Suite is a hillside hideaway with incredible ocean and jungle views, a private balcony, private Jacuzzi, living room, and gorgeous layout. Please check the Amenities Section for a detailed list of what is included in each room style.
NOTE: In true tropical style, NONE OF THE ROOMS OFFER TELEVISION.

The beds were not as comfortable as the previous resort and there was no hot tub at this location.
The hotel was in a great location, but it’s dated. It needs a refresh. It was clean, but not crisp like we would want a hotel to be. The pool was great though. Kids loved the slide.
Very beautiful and good hotel and nice stuff.
The hotel room that we stayed in had a fabulous view but was in the older , dated ,part of the resort ( we were offered a choice of 2 rooms on arrival, one newer but with a partial sea view and the older room with a great view)
The restaurant at the front was very expensive and the food below average. One day we ordered food at the adult pool bar and was served 7 very small potato wedges with a dip for $11 who pays that for 7 chips!
Loved the view and hotel. Also liked it that it was on main road with easy walks to restaurants
Fabulous location, lots of birds!
The room was older and had a few maintenance issues. The bed was very comfortable. The setting in the rain forest was really cool. We saw monkeys from our balcony. We had a nice view. The staff was great.
Love the location, views, food and staff, love pool with the slide!
This is a lovely hotel, but it has its quirks. The food was uneven. I had a salad with old wrinkly tomatoes and another that that had smoked trout, not fresh, as described. The breakfast menu is very limited and confusing. Pancakes aren't listed as an option but then I saw them making them and we could get them, which made me wonder what else would they make that was't listed. The bathroom in our room had no ventilation, which means nothing dries in there. We had a room at the lobby level, so we heard a lot of road traffic. Also, there is really nothing within safe walking distance with the way the sidewalks end. It would have been nice to explore the area on foot a bit more, but with kids it didn't seem safe to walk on the side of the road given the driving culture. The kids loved it, though. There is a small movie theater you can reserve. They have hundreds of DVD's or you can log in to Netflix. That was a lot of fun with kids. The waterslide was a big hit. The view is incredible and the local iguanas and monkeys were very entertaining. This hotel had a wedding event the day we were leaving and one restaurant was closed Friday night because of it and then one of the pools was closed all of Saturday. I was glad we were leaving Saturday so we didn't have to deal with the inconvenience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, though. We would probably not stay here again because we would avoid the Manuel Antonio region in general next trip. It's very touristy and expensive compared to the other places we visited.
We expected more from this hotel. The reception staff was OK but not particularly attentive. The hotel has a lot of stairs and it feels like being in a labyrinth. Common areas are nice but our room (which had a very nice view) was outdated (furniture, decor, etc). Breakfast was not very good. Limited choice of food, just a few not so good pastries and fruits (breakfast was fantastic in the other two hotels). Dinner at the same restaurant was very good
We were disappointed in this resort some because it does not look like the video they show on the website. It facilities were rundown, the beds were not comfortable. The staff was nice but not like our previous report. We did not really like the restaurants but there are several within walking distance. The best part about this resort is the location. It is close to the beach (they do not offer transportation to the beach as we were told). The taxi ride is short and once at the beach there are several restaurants and shops. This would not be my top choice for a resort next time.
Older hotel and basic rooms but staff were friendly and service was great.
This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The rooms were clean and convenient, the hotel grounds were AMAZING and the food was out of this world!!! We didn't want to eat anywhere else in the town.
Friendly people. View from our room was amazing! Clear views of the Pacific
This was our family's favorite hotel of the trip! Small enough to feel quaint, but large enough to have two restaurants and two pools! The room was great and the view stunning!!!
The hotel is a little outdated. The shower mildew and loose faucets. But the property was beautiful and the staff was amazing! Best service I’ve ever had. It was definitely a family resort. We felt at home and comfortable at the pool and swim up bar. The servers took time to get to know us and were very friendly.
Monkeys viewing from the room deck made the place great. Staff was really attentive and helpful.Too bad only the butterfly exhibit was open in the park across the street.
We loved this hotel! The pool and slide are a blast. The views are amazing as well as the food and drinks by pool bar. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! We had a safe and early check in, and had to check out at 4am which they had security ready and waiting for us to assist and even provided breakfast for the road.
Fun hotel with lots of wildlife, amazing views, free shuttle to the beach/National Park area, and friendly employees. Would definitely stay here again.
The setting, gardens, staff and food were all excell3n5.
Beautiful resort. Loved it!
again this hotel and staff was most excellent. the grounds were beautiful. the staff was so patient and nice to our family. the hotel was near restaurants and transportation to the beach and park. the food at rico Tico was the best I had the whole trip
beautiful views ;
Old hotel. Great views. Our room balcony was close to the restaurant and we could get all the smell and noise which wasn't pleasant. There are two restaurants. The seafood restaurant is pretty good but I found the other one which also serves breakfast as rather disappointing. Reception staff were very nice. Also great that there was a shuttle to and from the beach.
Room was old and not as modern as I would’ve expected. Bathrooms and kitchen furnishing was average at best
Staff very friendly, great views of the sea. The beach is a 25 minute walk away but there is a shuttle down to the crowded part of the beach. They have a butterfly cage across the road which is worth a visit.
The staff was awesome, and the hotel location was beautiful with close access to nearby shops and restaurants. This resort lacked a bit in fit and finish compared to Arenal Springs, but the friendly staff, convenient location, and beautiful views made it well worth the stay here.
Breakfast is great.
The staff was great, especially Allen. Very helpful and courteous.
Beautiful view from our room. I wish we stayed here a few more days.
Loved the natural environment and views!
My wife and I loved every second of being in Si Como No! The grounds were beautiful and the staff was incredibly helpful. It was also nice having transportation to the beach.
Our room was nice and spacious but the furniture is very dated. The chairs on our balcony were old and scratchy to sit on. Breakfast that was included was very good.
staff was very helpful. Food in the restaurant was good.
Ronald was fantastic. He really made our trip.
Beautiful hotel. Loved it
The room looked a little run down/outdated and like it needed a little TLC. The painting hanging on the wall was peeling and hanging down from the frame. The lock on the sliding patio door was falling off and there were huge gaps around the main door frame, so lots of light came in at night. Overall not a bad experience, but I would probably not stay here again.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed seeing monkeys and lizards right on the hotel grounds.
Staff here super friendly & this resort was awesome for running from! Quite a workout with the elevation changes!
Food was pricey and the quality was only average
Great view, great service and excellent stay!
Great hillside hotel (lots of stairs) with a nice swim up pool bar and theater. Our room smelled musty but was very clean. Staff was very helpful in recommending nearby restaurants.
Too many steps to the dining rooms and pools. But the place was beautiful.
This hotel is out dated. Keys for hotel rooms??? Not a lot of outlets. Our room was low on property and we had barely a view of ocean. Music from neighboring hotel was problematic for special needs son. Staff very accommodating, friendly, went above and beyond to see to our comfort.
Went the extra mile when setting up guides and cooking our catch from the charter boat at very reasonable price.
The adult pool had no view and was not very nice. The family pool was much better but crowded.
Outstanding service and great food! We loved the views and access to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.
Staff were fantastic but the rooms were a little disappointing, old décor and in need of refurbishment.
Pool chairs were a bit uncomfortable but overall this was an amazing experience. Staff was fantastic!
Very friendly staff. It was a beautiful and fun hotel.
BEST view of our trip.
Nice rooms and beautiful views. Also saw tropical birds and animals throughout the resort. The only thing missing was room service to deliver food.
An exceptional place. Shuttle to downtown was very convenient!
Lobby staff was very helpful and moved our room (to a better view). Pool bartender was very helpful and very fun to hang out with. Views were incredible everywhere!
The hotel was beautiful. We had a wonderful time here.
breakfast was lacking in options and quality. accommodations were nice
We loved this hotel. It was very relaxing and the down time is just what we needed. It is very beautiful and we enjoyed the staff and the pool and the spa!
Fabulous resort. Just loved it.
This hotel was fine, but I didn't think it was worth the price. It was a lovely resort, with multiple pools (one was adult only) with swim up bars. The included breakfast was great. We had a great view from our balcony and the room was spotless, but I was expecting to be blown away given the price. I recommend walking down the road to a number of the great coffee shops / restaurants nearby (
Not as luxurious as the first location. We had hoped it would be a bit easier to get to the beach. The location is good with several nearby restaurants.
Beautiful hotel and rooms with gorgeous views of the ocean. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help with any questions / requests. Not having TVs in the rooms was a great idea...... loved the place.
loved it and cannot wait to go back!
Beautiful! The staff was so attentive and friendly from the front desk to the servers in the restaurant. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The food was excellent. We ate at both restaurants most nights, even though there were other good places in walking distance. This place was a gem.
Perfect hotel for the kids. Loved the idea you can walk across the street to the park tour.
It was our least favorite of the three accommodations, but definitely adequate.
Actually enjoyed all the steps to "walk off" some calories
No TV was a bummer
Beautiful view, nice pool areas, staff was super friendly. Bathrooms may need to be updated but still really enjoyed the hotel. The location was great!
A very nice hotel. It is nice that there is an adult and a seperate family pools. Good breakfast and restaurants were good. Supermarket up the street as well a falafel restaraunt. No reservations recommending Si Como No
One of the best hotel resort i have ever stayed and experienced.
Loved the swim up bars and pool service. Very good food at the restaurants. We had a great room. Loved the butterfly enclosure they give you access to across the street.
Fabulous view from room, transport to beach was great, breakfast amazing
This was a nice and comfortable hotel. Typically the staff was on point except for our experience with them breaking down an event over our room after midnight. Judging from what we say on our travels - we felt fortunate to stay in what looked like the nicest available hotel in the area.
Missed not having a TV but on the plus side were able to walk to other venues
because of extensive rain, we had to eat at the hotel often. the food was mediocre
No one greeted us at the van. Had to slog our luggage into the hotel ourselves. Not a big deal, just not expected Room was basic, view was lovely.
The hotel staff were very friendly. The grounds of this hotel were breath taking.
The hotel was again, beautiful and we loved the view from our room. The staff was wonderful and the air conditioning worked very well. We loved the on-site restaurant. The hotel did have a private movie theater but they planned only PG-rated movies at 8:00 It would have been better for the guests if two movies were offered; a kid movie at 7:00 and a PG-13 movie at 9:00. There were quite a few adults without children watching Wall-E because sunset was fairly early and there was little to do at night on-site.
The hotel is old and needs upgrades but it was awesome just sitting on the back porch watching the wild life and the views. Leo and his Latin music made it a memorable experience.
Loved this place. We were greeted by a troop of monkeys when we arrived. Kids loved the pool and the view was fantastic.
It was a bit more luxurious than what I expected...and also more expensive. If I had to do it again, I would ask for a somewhat less fancy place...although it was nice!
This is a really nice resort. We had a breath taking view of the ocean. The bird watching from the balcony in the morning was fantastic. The staff was incredibly attentive whenever we needed anything. A great place for families to stay in Manuel Antonio.
Gorgeous hotel and very courteous staff. Food was great with lots of options nearby.
The views are amazing. The resort feels super premium and the pool was a great place to relax. The staff was very friendly and they offer a free shuttle to the beach, which was a pleasant surprise. The morning breakfast view was the best we had the entire vacation. The two restaurants offered great food and quick bites in the pool bar. We would have loved to extend our stay.
Two restaurants onsite provided tasty food and prices were not excessive. Staff was not too engaging.
Absolutely gorgeous view from the hotel & very close to beach.
