Si Como No Resort and Spa

The hotel was in a great location, but it’s dated. It needs a refresh. It was clean, but not crisp like we would want a hotel to be. The pool was great though. Kids loved the slide.

Hotel staff were all very friendly. There was some confusion in the types of rooms that were on my itinerary yet all worked out in the end - they didn't have two of the same "superior" room with two double/queen beds so one of my sons had to sleep on the pullout; mattresses were fine yet probably needing some replacements soon

Only small negative was all the stairs to get from Point A to Point B and to our room.

The hotel room that we stayed in had a fabulous view but was in the older , dated ,part of the resort ( we were offered a choice of 2 rooms on arrival, one newer but with a partial sea view and the older room with a great view) The restaurant at the front was very expensive and the food below average. One day we ordered food at the adult pool bar and was served 7 very small potato wedges with a dip for $11 who pays that for 7 chips!

Fabulous location, lots of birds!

The room was older and had a few maintenance issues. The bed was very comfortable. The setting in the rain forest was really cool. We saw monkeys from our balcony. We had a nice view. The staff was great.

What a beautiful place! (Was I really just there?!) The restaurant & bar staff offered personal attention, but I would not rate the front desk as helpful. I inquired about the stated "stocked minibar", and they blamed my tour company for providing wrong information. My only complaint here concerns that; we weren't greeted warmly with a drink after a long transfer. They advised us to walk up the street for our needs.

Beautiful views, nice pools and good food. We had a bit of a difficult arrival, arriving early evening after a very long drive. The valet who brought us to our rooms was rushed in his service. He promised to return to my mom's room to give her an overview of the room and orient her, but he never returned. When our group met for dinner at one of hotel's restaurants that night, my mom was stuck in a rainstorm lost and wet because she was unfamiliar with the location and could not find us or her room. I too was disoriented at night when I went to find her and ruined a pair of shoes walking all over the grounds multiple times trying to find my mom. We feel the rushed drop off at our rooms and rushed/insufficient orientation contributed a lot to this. Aside from this we enjoyed the hotel a lot. The restaurant staff graciously tried to accommodate us, particularly with packaging breakfast to go when we had early departure times for our activities. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. One thing we would have liked would have been more tolerance for our 12 year old to join us in the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is part of the adults only pool, but this is the only jacuzzi the hotel has and it would have been nice for her to be permitted there. The kids' pool waterslide was fun. The animals on and near the resort grounds were fabulous. The sound of them in the jungle at night is something I would love to have a soundtrack of; it was really special, and the monkeys running around the cafe at breakfast one morning was especially entertaining.

Beautiful hotel. Only regret is that the staff who brought our luggage to our rooms at check-in did left my room the moment he let me in the door. He promised he would come back but never did. I would have liked to know how to use the coffee maker. It rained hard and constantly that evening and I lost my bearings in the dark and in the heavy thunderstorms (and lightning), and had to call my party to come get me because I had wandered around and ended up at the adult pool. The hotel is gorgeous but built on several levels. I was surprised that there was no lighting at all on the various paths connecting the various rooms and the restaurants, reception area. In bad weather this is a serious safety issue.

Love the location, views, food and staff, love pool with the slide!

This is a lovely hotel, but it has its quirks. The food was uneven. I had a salad with old wrinkly tomatoes and another that that had smoked trout, not fresh, as described. The breakfast menu is very limited and confusing. Pancakes aren't listed as an option but then I saw them making them and we could get them, which made me wonder what else would they make that was't listed. The bathroom in our room had no ventilation, which means nothing dries in there. We had a room at the lobby level, so we heard a lot of road traffic. Also, there is really nothing within safe walking distance with the way the sidewalks end. It would have been nice to explore the area on foot a bit more, but with kids it didn't seem safe to walk on the side of the road given the driving culture. The kids loved it, though. There is a small movie theater you can reserve. They have hundreds of DVD's or you can log in to Netflix. That was a lot of fun with kids. The waterslide was a big hit. The view is incredible and the local iguanas and monkeys were very entertaining. This hotel had a wedding event the day we were leaving and one restaurant was closed Friday night because of it and then one of the pools was closed all of Saturday. I was glad we were leaving Saturday so we didn't have to deal with the inconvenience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, though. We would probably not stay here again because we would avoid the Manuel Antonio region in general next trip. It's very touristy and expensive compared to the other places we visited.

We expected more from this hotel. The reception staff was OK but not particularly attentive. The hotel has a lot of stairs and it feels like being in a labyrinth. Common areas are nice but our room (which had a very nice view) was outdated (furniture, decor, etc). Breakfast was not very good. Limited choice of food, just a few not so good pastries and fruits (breakfast was fantastic in the other two hotels). Dinner at the same restaurant was very good

We were disappointed in this resort some because it does not look like the video they show on the website. It facilities were rundown, the beds were not comfortable. The staff was nice but not like our previous report. We did not really like the restaurants but there are several within walking distance. The best part about this resort is the location. It is close to the beach (they do not offer transportation to the beach as we were told). The taxi ride is short and once at the beach there are several restaurants and shops. This would not be my top choice for a resort next time.

The hotel and our experience was overall great. The hotel room itself felt underwhelming and basic.

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The rooms were clean and convenient, the hotel grounds were AMAZING and the food was out of this world!!! We didn't want to eat anywhere else in the town.

Went beyond all expectations! Absolutely fell in love with this place and when we return to Costa Rica we will definitely be staying here again. Staff was lovely, food at the restaurant was 5 star and it was so gorgeous! Even when it rained it was beautiful!
