Find your place to stay
The Coast Beachfront Hotel by Casa Cook offers direct access to Tamarindo's quieter southern beachfront, providing an independent stay with ocean access. Guests enjoy kitchen-equipped suites, bungalows, and a studio apartment, complemented by a refreshing pool and complimentary continental breakfast. While there is no on-site restaurant, nearby dining options are plentiful, and the hotel provides amenities like boogie boards and beach loungers. It's an ideal choice for travelers seeking a blend of beachfront relaxation, self-catering flexibility, and proximity to Tamarindo's vibrant scene.
Step out toward the sand with a boogie board, or settle into a beach lounger and let the afternoon unfold. The Coast Beachfront Hotel by Casa Cook sits directly on Tamarindo's quieter southern beachfront, giving you ocean access alongside the freedom of kitchen-equipped accommodation. The town's lively beach scene is close at hand, but you can return to your own space between swims and outings.
Complimentary continental breakfast starts the day, and the pool offers a change from the ocean. Beach loungers and boogie boards are available for guests, while a BBQ grill and the room kitchens give you alternatives to eating out for every meal. The hotel has no on-site restaurant or bar; nearby beach bars and restaurants add plenty of dining choices.
Suites, beach bungalows and a studio apartment give you accommodation choices to compare. Ceramic kitchen counters and custom hardwood furniture bring character to the modern accommodation. Kitchens have a toaster oven, microwave, full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, sink and blender. Cable televisions, clock radios, irons and hair dryers provide familiar practical comforts, while a refrigerator and blender make it easy to prepare a snack or a drink before heading back onto the sand. If you want to cook more fully, the larger suites' ovens and gas stoves are worth comparing with the other kitchen arrangements.
Children under five are free when they sleep in the same bed as an adult. Gated parking with 24-hour security, free WiFi and available laundry service help with the practical details of a beach vacation.
Tamarindo's one-mile beach is an inviting route for a walk past restaurants and shops. Waffle Monkey is one breakfast option when you feel like trying something beyond the included continental breakfast. A passing mariachi band is among the scenes you might encounter on a beach walk. The beach's northern breaks draw more experienced surfers, while the middle and southern sections are used for beginner lessons; arrange lessons around your ability and the conditions rather than treating any section as always suitable.
Sportfishing, sunset cruises, snorkeling and scuba diving add reasons to get onto the water. Horseback riding on the beach, kayaking, ATV outings and ziplining give you ways to vary the pace, and guided nesting-turtle tours can be arranged. Tamarindo's nightlife includes salsa dancing, but staying on the quieter southern end also leaves the option of returning to your accommodation after dinner instead of extending every evening out.
You need not pack every possibility into the trip. At The Coast, the simplest pleasure is being able to move between your room, the pool and the beach at your own pace, with a kitchen waiting when you would rather stay in than choose another restaurant.

Oh my god we were in a villa!!! It was amazing and huge and beautiful.

We knew this hotel had limited services - no restaurant or bar - but this was made up for by an excellent location on the beach, and proximity to 2 beach front hotels with restaurants and bars

I really loved this boutique hotel. It was quiet and very family friendly. The beach was warm but the water was very brown and silty (maybe it was just the time of year?). But we loved having breakfast on our balcony each morning and watching the surfers. We loved walking to the town of Tamarindo and eating there. Great food options. A great place to end our vacation.

It was nice, but not as good as the resort. Great location. Clean beach with good waves. Walk to everything in town.

Nice walk into town. We liked that it was away from the noise and night life.
The best place of all . Very homey, right on the beach. Beautiful walk, safe. We saw monkeys, iguanas, parrots. The owner was very nice and gave us good history of the place. Crews are great. Children enjoyed being on their own great neighborhood.
