Family-owned Hotel Villa Florencia pairs Turrialba Valley scenery with gardens, an outdoor pool and a Jacuzzi. Complimentary breakfast and Costa Rican cooking at the restaurant bring local flavor into the stay. It makes a restful base for Pacuare rafting and regional nature outings, with terraces or balconies depending on room category.
Breakfast with fresh fruit and Costa Rican dishes, an afternoon in the gardens, a swim after a day on the river: Hotel Villa Florencia gives a Turrialba stay a welcoming rhythm. This family-owned hotel pairs the countryside setting with the pleasures of time spent on site, making a comfortable return from the region’s rafting and nature outings.
Complimentary breakfast gives the day an inviting start, with fresh fruit, local pastries and traditional Costa Rican dishes. Take time over the meal before setting out. The on-site restaurant carries that local connection into other dining, using locally sourced ingredients for Costa Rican cooking. Cozy surroundings and attentive service make a meal here an inviting part of an unhurried evening.
Accommodation is comfortable and spacious, with rustic touches that fit the garden setting. Room categories have their own arrangements of outdoor space and amenities: Standard rooms include a terrace, while Superior rooms and Suites have balconies. Choose the layout that best matches your plans for time at the hotel, then let the detailed room information handle the practical comparisons.
The outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi encourage a relaxed return from a day exploring. Enjoy a swim, unwind in the water or spend a little time in the gardens. A refreshing drink or handcrafted cocktail at the bar can extend those quiet hours, giving the evening a gentler rhythm than the day’s adventures.
The Pacuare River draws travelers to whitewater rafting, while hiking toward Turrialba Volcano offers another way to experience the region. Tapanti National Park brings rainforest exploration and birdwatching into the wider itinerary. Pick the outings that interest you and give them room, rather than trying to fit every attraction into one stay.
Villa Florencia’s appeal lies in the return: a garden setting, a comfortable room and meals that keep the trip connected to Costa Rica. It works well as a restful complement to the area’s outdoor adventures, especially when you value unhurried mornings and time beside the pool between excursions.

The room we stayed in was nice. One night when we were eating dinner, we saw a rat crawl down the wall into the area where they cook breakfast. We were sitting on a couch waiting for our car another day and there was a piece of rat poop on the couch. The hotel is far from anything around and there are not a lot of restaurant options near by. The hotel restraurant was fine. Pool was nice but all of the lounge chairs had rips in them. Staff was friendly.

We were there at a very quiet time, so we had plenty of attention from the staff. They were all very kind.
