Think of what fun it would be riding through a rainforest on an ATV, then flying over the jungle canopy on zipline cables! You’ll do both thrilling adventures in the ATV and Canopy Combo tour package. This outing includes 2 hours of off road riding in a tropical rainforest on a single occupant ATV, then switches over to 2 more hours of ziplining through the treetops. You’ll soar over the rainforest with a bird’s eye view of the Pacific coastline and look for surrounding wildlife living in the tree canopy.
Your tour begins with transportation from your hotel to the jungle operations base in Jaco. Here you will meet your professional guides and the rest of the group going that day. To prepare you for your ATV adventure, you will be fitted with a helmet and reflective vest while being informed of all operating and safety procedures. Anyone 16 years or older can operate an ATV with a valid driver’s license.
You’ll start your engines and head out on an off-road expedition through the jungle for 2 hours. First, you’ll be climbing up to the top of a mountain then, on your way back you will ride in the middle of a river basin.
If your group would like to have lunch together, the guides can arrange a stop at a local restaurant for lunch in between activities. You would need to bring extra cash for lunch as it is not included in the tour package.Your adventure continues with another 2 hours of exciting outdoor activities, this time ziplining over the jungle below. You’ll be zipping between 14 platforms on 13 cables offering 9 separate views of the Pacific Ocean. Your professional, bilingual guides will show you how to use all the equipment.
They will fit you with a harness, helmet, and gloves then hook you onto a cable. You will have a guide at every platform to ensure you are safely connected. Another guide will be on the following platform to receive you as you arrive.
The small community of Jaco is located in the Province of Puntarenas on the Pacific coast. It is a popular tourist destination for surfers and those who love the nightlife, from backpackers to honeymooners. The beige volcanic sand beach skirting the lush green forest provides a beautiful backdrop to all the local activities.
This tour package includes professional bilingual guides, all ATV and zipline safety equipment, plus transportation from your hotel in Herradura or Jaco. One way transit from your hotel in Herradura can take up to an hour. If you are staying in Jaco, one way transportation takes about 20 minutes. Total time of ATV and ziplining tour, combined with round-trip transportation, can be from 5 to 6.5 hours.
Please bring drinking water, totally enclosed shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen, rain gear, binoculars, and your camera. You will want to make sure your personal items like your camera or keys can be zipped up in pockets or placed inside a backpack, leaving your hands free for driving and flying!
