Rev up those engines and slide into this winsome adventure! A thrilling off road ATV expedition up hills and along forests trails, through streams and mud combine with a high flying aerial zip line extravaganza soaring across a forest of huge Guanacaste trees, home to monkeys, iguanas, exotic birds, and so much more.
You’ll begin this half day adventure by being picked up from where you are staying in Playa Flamingo, Riu or the Tamarindo area. Be sure to wear clothes that can get dirty! You’ll also need enclosed footwear such as sneakers or hiking shoes. You’ll be met by your friendly guides who will take you over to the fleet of Honda ATVs. Here, you will learn the safety instructions before donning your helmet and straddling your ATV for a test ride.
Next, venturing over the varied terrain of a tropical lowland dry forest, you’ll cross streams and climb hills navigating your machine through sand and mud. This course runs through a privately owned wildlife preserve, the result of a highly successful reforestation project. Surrounded by giant Guanacaste trees, you’ll experience the sights and sounds of a Costa Rican jungle.
Your bilingual guide will be sure to fascinate you with interesting facts about the area and point out any wildlife visible on the day of your visit which could include monkeys, iguanas, coatis, pisotes or exotic birds. You’ll feel the changing altitude as you ride up into the mountains where panoramic views of the Pacific coast can be seen.
After an hour or so of riding the trails, you’ll be ready to trade your hog for an adrenaline pumping zipline experience. Time to hug some trees! You'll be led to the first platform high up in the forest canopy. Engineered to protect the bark, the strategically placed platforms either encircle the upper part of the tree trunk or are built around intertwining limbs that create the tree canopy.
The guides will fit you into a harness and helmet, then demonstrate how the equipment works, including going over the safety lesson. There are 7 cables of different lengths and angles to give you a variety of aerial experiences. Once you are hooked up, you’ll be zipping over the tree canopy landing on 11 more platforms. You’ll see down into the forest as well as out over the spectacular distant mountain and ocean landscapes.
At each platform, a guide will help you switch you from one cable to the next, then off you’ll go again. It’s an incredible experience and one that should not be missed when visiting Costa Rica. You might even zip by a family of Howler monkeys while in the tree tops. Nothing is guaranteed but a good time, although with a little luck you’ll encounter a few surprises along the way.
After you’ve got the hang of it, you’ll be shown how to ride the zipline like Superman, suspended horizontally from the back of your harness. You can also try zipping upside down. After the last cable, the grand finale will be a giant Tarzan swing! Many people say this was the highlight of their trip, swinging down into the forest then way back up towards the sky.
Whatever your favorite moment might be, your guides will be glad to use your camera or cell phone to capture you in a photograph. At the end, you’ll be treated to a bottle of cold water and a fresh fruit snack to replenish your energy in the picnic area.

This was a very fun trip! The guides were friendly, and seemed to really enjoy their job. Every place we went felt private, and we felt well taken care of. Very memorable!

We had a great time on this tour and had fun riding the quads up to the canopy to do the zip line . We got to see monkeys and iguana's on the ride up to the canopy . This was a great time for my wife and I . The guide we had very good at what he does and very knowledgeable as well . Because of my back issue I was not able to do the zip line but my wife really enjoyed it.

Completely met our expectations. Again, punctual and friendly drivers and guides. Atv's are SO much fun, track through the forest was phenomenal. i would love to all this again.
