This fun adrenaline pumping zipline adventure will have you flying through the jungle on 8 different cables offering a monkey’s eye view of the surrounding lush rainforest. Teeming with wildlife, the protected reserve is home to toucans, monkeys, sloths and all things Costa Rican!
The Pacuare Adventure Canopy Tour offers guests staying at the Pacuare Lodge an exciting onsite zipline experience. You will meet with your professional bilingual ziplining guides in the hotel lobby for a brief orientation to discuss safety procedures. Then you’ll be fitted with a quality harness and helmet before heading out into the jungle.
The first platform is about a 20 minute easy to moderate hike up through the rainforest. With the assistance of your experienced guides, you will be securely attached to the first cable and off you go!
At each platform, there will be a guide to greet you as you land. You can relax and enjoy the view knowing you are safely secured to the most up-to-date zipline equipment.
Starting at the top platform you’ll be sailing across the tree canopy making your way down platform to platform back to the Lodge. You’ll also experience the fun of rappelling as you descend down a giant tree trunk to get to a lower platform. Your last zip will take you right to the doorstep of the Lodge.
The Pacuare Lodge was built to blend in with the surrounding rainforest. The wooden bungalows have thatched roofs made from palm leaves just as the indigenous people built their own shelters. It sits deep in the midst of a private protected rainforest next to the Pacuare River. This beautiful tropical setting is lush with plant life and home to hundreds of species of exotic birds, reptiles, mammals and more.
This tour includes professional bilingual guides, plus all safety equipment such as helmet, harness, and snap shackles. The total time for this adventure is typically from 1.5 to 2 hours. There is NO transportation needed as this particular tour is only for guests who are staying at the Pacuare Lodge.
