There are three golf courses on the northwest Pacific Guanacaste coast; Hacienda Pinilla, Reserva Conchal and the Four Seasons Golf Club.

Hacienda Pinilla: The Hacienda Pinilla course was designed by Mike Young. It is a par 72 - 7,274 yardage course located in the tropical dry forest of Tamarindo with ocean views.

Reserva Conchal Golf Club: The Reserva Conchal course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior. It is a par 72 – 6,956 yardage course located in the tropical dry forest of Conchal, near Playa Flamingo with ocean views. It is arguably the best course in Central America.

Four Seasons Golf Club: The Four Seasons course was designed by Arnold Palmer. It is a par 72 – 6,800 yardage course located in the tropical dry forest of the Papagayo Peninsula with ocean views.

Central Pacific

There is one major course on the Central Pacific coast, La Iguana Golf Course.

La Iguana Golf Course: The La Iguana Golf Course was designed by Ted Robinson Junior. It is a par 72 – 6,698 yardage course located in the coastal rainforest area of Jaco.

Central Valley

There are two 18 hole championship quality courses in the Central Valley near San Jose; Cariari Country Club and Parque del Sol Golf Club.

Cariari Country Club: The Cariari Country Club, designed by George Fazio, is considered to be one of the best courses in Central America. It is a par 71 – 6,577 yardage course conveniently located in the Cariari suburb of San Jose.

Parque del Sol Golf Club: The Parque del Sol Golf Club is a Tracy May designed course. It is a par 72 – 7,011 yardage course located in the Santa Ana suburb of San Jose.
