A Pacific Trade Winds representative welcomes you at San Jose International Airport before your private transfer to Jaco. Arrive at Best Western Jaco Beach Resort, settle into your room and let the beachfront setting ease you into vacation mode. The next six nights belong to this stretch of the Pacific coast.
Day 2: A day at your own pace
There is no rush today. Find a spot by the pool, stroll along the broad beach or browse Jaco’s shops. With your hotel as a single base for the week, you can spend less time packing and more time enjoying the coast.
Day 3: Catch your first wave
Trade the view from shore for a beginner surf lesson in Jaco. A professional bilingual instructor guides you through two hours on the water, introducing the balance and timing of riding a wave. Surfboard use continues for 24 hours afterward, with a fruit snack and bottled water included. Shared transportation takes you to the lesson and back.
Day 4: Beach time, your way
Let the day unfold between the beach, pool and town. Read in the shade, wander through the shops or simply enjoy an afternoon without an itinerary. The pause between your two adventures is part of the pleasure of this beach week.
Day 5: Into the forest canopy

This is where northern Pacific dry forest meets southern Pacific rainforest, with views toward the coastline and outlying islands.
