The Falls Resort
Good to Know
Nestled in Manuel Antonio's tropical gardens, The Falls Resort offers a serene, boutique experience with a small pool perfect for wildlife spotting. While shops and restaurants are walkable, the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park are a short five-minute drive away, accessible by bus or taxi. Guests can savor international and Costa Rican cuisine at The Falls Garden Restaurant, returning to air-conditioned rooms equipped with essential comforts after a day of exploration.
Find your own pace in the gardens
At The Falls Resort, a small pool sits among tropical gardens between the rooms and lobby. A swim, a lounge chair and a glance into the trees can become a rewarding afternoon; sloths, toucans or monkeys may pass through the surroundings. The hotel’s hillside setting gives a Manuel Antonio stay a garden-centered rhythm.
Beach outings and garden evenings
Shops, restaurants and a spa are within walking distance, while the beach and entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park are about five minutes away by car. Walking down to the beach is unsafe and involves a substantial hike; use the local beach bus or a taxi instead. The Falls has no direct beach access.
The Falls Garden Restaurant brings fresh seafood, meats and vegetables into international and Costa Rican cooking. Costa Rican fruits and vegetables are used when available. Stay for dinner after a park outing, or let a meal at the hotel round off a day spent largely in the gardens. WiFi is available in select public areas.
A garden base for coast and forest adventures
Playa Espadilla’s golden sand sits below jungle-covered hills and palms, with the national park at the end of the beach. A guided park hike offers chances to look for toucans, monkeys, sloths and iguanas. The Damas Island Estuary brings a different wildlife landscape, with boat outings where crocodiles, monkeys and silky anteaters may be seen.
For a more energetic day, the El Santuario Canopy Zipline, Savegre rafting, canyoning and waterfall rappelling in the nearby mountains offer different ways into the rainforest. Return to the Falls for the quieter pleasures of a smaller hotel: warm hospitality, a pool among the gardens and lounge chairs that invite you to watch the trees as much as the water.
Choose the room location
Standard Garden View Rooms are the spacious, budget-oriented choice, while Standard Casitas are standalone bungalow-style accommodation. Deluxe Rooms are oversized, with a garden-view terrace and a sleeper sofa for another guest. Double Queen Suites have two beds, and the Garden Double Suite has garden views. All rooms have air conditioning, cable television and a mini-fridge for a comfortable return from time outdoors.
The Street View Double Queen Suite is nearer the road and may be noisy, so it is not the recommended choice when quiet is a priority. At the front of the resort, the apartment provides three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room, but lacks panoramic views. Choose it for space and independence; choose the hotel as a whole for its garden character and smaller scale rather than a large resort’s range of facilities, with beach visits planned as outings.

Great hotel. The restaurant is a bit pricey but the food is very good and since there are numerous other restaurants nearby, we ate at the Falls one dinner and out the rest of the time. Breakfasts are great. Luis is exceptional. Our only issue was that our toilet had no pressure and the hotel didn't seem to fix it but it wasn't a huge deal. The grounds are beautiful.
AWESOME!

This was by far our favorite. What a gem. It looks like a warehouse from the road, and then PHOOF you are in paradise. We loved our experience there. Beautiful and truly a boutique hotel. Staff was on top of everything, like helping us arrange a deep sea fishing trip.
Not as fancy as Arenal Springs, but just lovely for visiting Manuel Antonio.
Our favorite resort. Beautiful!
Our room was near the dining and bar area. It was quite noisy one night. We wished we had a room towards the back of the property, but nothing was available. We enjoyed our stay despite the noise. The banana bread at breakfast was outstanding!
We ended up with a room close to the bar, which was somewhat noisy one night. I would have preferred a room further back, but there were none available. Overall, the people in Manual Antonio were not as friendly as the people in Arenal. The hotel staff followed this trend, but they were not a problem at all.
Wow, what a fabulous place. Highly recommend this hotel!!!
Very convenient location!
This was by far our favorite hotel. I think it also helped that the weather was perfect and we had time to relax at the outside bar/pool area for a while when we arrived.
I could recommend this resort without hesitation because I prefer small, charming places. The 'maitre d' in the bar/restaurant was the most attentive I've ever experienced and I really appreciated his service.
Great hotel
the sofa bed was VERY uncomfortable...but the staff was fantastic and worked to make it okay...please thank them
nice place to stay
By far the best of the three hotels!! The picture does not do it justice, it was far prettier than even Arenal Springs. Wi-fi was great. Restaurant was amazing. Their special dinner on Christmas was spectacular. We could have stayed here for two weeks.
