Poco a Poco Hotel and Spa in Monteverde offers a harmonious blend of cloud forest adventure and serene relaxation. Guests can unwind in the heated indoor pool or outdoor hot tub after exploring the nearby Cloud Forest Reserve. The hotel features a restaurant serving local and international cuisine with forest views, alongside the Naroa Spa and Wellness for rejuvenating treatments. Comfortable rooms and spacious suites, some with private terraces or hot tubs, provide a restful retreat amidst landscaped gardens and sustainable practices.
A warm-water return to Poco a Poco
A warm swim after a cloud forest outing is one of Poco a Poco Hotel and Spa's inviting pleasures. The heated indoor pool and outdoor hot tub make it easy to move from an active Monteverde day to an afternoon devoted to unwinding. Landscaped gardens, a restaurant and Naroa Spa and Wellness give you reasons to enjoy the hotel itself rather than fill every hour with an excursion.
From the forest to the warm water
Walk through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, look for the region's birds or take a canopy tour for a different perspective on the treetops. Ziplining and horseback riding bring other possibilities. Coming back to Poco a Poco can be part of the anticipation: a swim in warm water, a soak outside or a spa treatment before dinner.
The comfortable rooms and spacious suites provide a restful place between those experiences. Categories have different layouts and comforts, with some offering terraces or hot tubs. Compare the accommodation if private outdoor space or a more secluded soak is part of the stay you have in mind; those features belong to particular choices.
Give the gardens and dinner their own time
Fresh, locally sourced ingredients bring local flavors and international dishes together in the restaurant. Its cozy atmosphere and cloud forest views make an evening meal part of enjoying the hotel, rather than another journey after a day out. Allow time to linger over dinner, then decide how much of tomorrow you want to spend away.
The gardens leave room for quieter moments between meals and excursions. Energy-efficient lighting, recycling and water-saving practices form part of the property's conservation approach, connecting the workings of the hotel with the landscape around it. Helpful staff can offer local recommendations and assist with requests as you shape your Monteverde plans.

The hotel room was nice and clean but we requested a king size bed and got two very small double beds. That impacted our comfort level. Others who checked in the same day got king sized beds. The staff was lovely and we really appreciated the birthday gifts. Breakfast was good.

This was my least like hotel but mainly for the insanely expensive restaurant. We discovered quickly we could cross the street and eat much cheaper and had many options. Also our room was right beside the bar and was super noisy until closing.

I LOVED this hotel. It's a perfect 4 star. It was beautifully and thoughtfully designed throughout with tasteful nooks and lovely art/statues/etc. The room was comfortable and had an incredible view. I loved the little nature trail around the property, and the gardens were gorgeous. Also excellent location with lots of restaurants in walking distance. Roy (the concierge) was delightful.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Wished we had another day or two and another night at this hotel. Loved the area and the staff were exceptional. Provided a lovely anniversary balloon bouquet and free bar and snacks in the room the first day.

It was beautiful. Loved the pools. So relaxing. Wished the weather was warmer. I didnt realize it would be so cold

The common area and grounds were amazing. Really loved them. And the food was very good. Our room was fine but it felt a little claustrophobic and the bathroom wasn't the best. Is there another hotel in this area that you would recommend? Coming from the Arenal Springs hotel, this definitely felt like a noticeable step down.

Wind at night is loud. Great location and nice property.

Hotel room cost mixed into total price. Unsure how to rate value. Hotel room did not have a heater.

Desk staff was great. Hot tub was unexpected bonus. Free laundry was another pleasant useful surprise. Lived the hotel setting.

this was a very nice hotel in a perfect location. many nearby restaurants gave choices outside of the hotel for dining. the birthday greeting for Trevor was a very nice touch and my grandson loved the balloons. this hotel was exceptional in communicating with you. a whatsap message was almost instantly replied to. their recommendation for a guided night tour was underwhelming in comparison to all the other tours we had done. adequate breakfast buffet with sufficient choices.

Another great choice for hotels. Nice pool and great hot tub and fire pit, which I much appreciated after the dip in temperature.. Staff was very attentive to our needs. Great breakfast. Room was on the 4th floor and I never experienced such winds! Arrived in time for the Christmas parade. Amazing.

The grounds on theis hotel are lovely. When we finally checked in our room had a very overpowering smell of pinesol. Also we had lunch here when we arrived and it was very expensive for what we ordered. All the rest of meals other that breakfast we ate of site

Lovely hotel, nice amenities. Appreciated the mini bar gifts. Great location (easy to walk about town). We loved this breakfast best of all the hotels.

This hotel was our least favorite; it’s just too small. Thankfully you can walk into town for food options. They also made our celebrations extra special in our rooms.

Very close to shopping & SODA’s. Staff was great. Very clean hotel.

The best hotel we stayed in. It was also the shortest stay :( but great experience. The closeness to the city and the walk ability of the hotel was perfect. The hotel had a nice pool area and hot tub. The walking path is nice for those experiencing nature. The restaurant was satisfactory if you didn’t want to walk to a local place. The breakfast was good. I honestly had zero complaints. I strongly recommend yall continue booking these types of hotels for guests to be able to experience all of what Costa Rica has to offer.

Beautiful hotel and loved the setting. Not anything you could control but our room was loud due to wind noise and parking lot.

It was nice! The staff was kind and friendly. We got there at noon and check in wasn’t until 4:00. They upgraded our room and got the room ready as soon as possible.

The hotel was excellent overall, however the food and the restaurant at the hotel was mediocre.

Great Resort

The best part of this hotel were the grounds they were beautiful. The worse part of the hotel was the noise. They were remodeling and the road outside of the hotel had heavy traffic. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was ok.

I should have reported it right away, but the screen in our bathroom window didn’t close, so bugs were getting in. I wedged a washcloth in the space so we could still keep the window open. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, but we didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant because there weren’t any vegan options for me. We found some restaurants downtown that met that need.
