Again, this was a beautiful location. The hot springs were great and everyone was super friendly. However, we did find the shuttle system to be very inconvenient. There was no consistent schedule and you needed to call every time you needed to get somewhere. If you forgot something at your room, it could take 40mins to get there and back. It also wasn't close to anything else so since we were there for several days, we thought we might have a little town to explore, but it wasn't close enough to walk to. We loved there was a wet bar that we could get smaller meals for slightly cheaper than the main restaurant when we thought that was our only choice to eat.

This is a beautiful hotel and it had exceptional views. We did not rent a car, so having to take the shuttle anytime we needed to leave the room was inconvenient. We were high up the mountain and walking would have been dangerous. If we stay there again, and I definitely would, I would ask for a room closer to the pool/restaurant.

Overall we liked Los Lagos Hotel Resort and Spa. It would be helpful to tell clients that the hotel is quite a distance from La Fortuna town and that an uber or taxi is required to get into town. The restaurant while fine was expensive. We spent extra $ on Ubers to take us to other Sodas/restaurants for supper. Finally, 5 nights was likely too many in La Fortuna.

Very nice family hotel, I was not expecting it to be so "resorty" but I loved it. the hot springs were wonderful after a long day of walking. the breakfast was wonderful and every meal we had was delicious and not over priced. I loved the fresh fruit at breakfast. In the states it feels like you are rushed when you go out to eat, it took us a few days to relax and go with the flow and take our time after the meal and not rush the check.
