Nayara Gardens

Arenal

Good to Know

Nayara Gardens offers a luxurious 5-star rainforest retreat in Arenal, seamlessly blending natural beauty with sophisticated comfort. Guests reside in private casitas and villas, each featuring outdoor spaces like plunge pools or hot tubs, and enjoy amenities such as indoor/outdoor showers and locally sourced products. The resort provides a serene escape with garden paths, an open-air spa, and unique dining, perfectly balancing relaxation with opportunities to explore the vibrant Arenal region and its wildlife.

Garden paths and a private rainforest retreat

At Nayara Gardens, the rainforest becomes part of the hours between excursions. Paths wind through lush gardens, private terraces invite you outside and casitas and villas bring natural textures into a comfortable retreat. Leave time to enjoy those smaller pleasures: a morning pause among the greenery, time in your villa's plunge pool or an evening meal without hurrying back into town.

There are details here that make a retreat feel comfortable: plush robes, locally sourced bath products and interiors that favor natural textures. Move from an indoor shower to the outdoor option when it appeals, or spend some time on your terrace before dinner. Beyond the room, flower-scented paths and birdsong give a walk toward the spa or restaurant its own interest.

Linger along the paths and keep an eye on the trees; watching and listening can become a small pleasure between the day's larger plans.

A place to linger

Private casitas and villas pair indoor comfort with outdoor space. The Rainforest Pool Villa has a plunge pool, while the Arenal Pool Casita includes a hot tub. Choose the accommodation around the outlook, layout and kind of soaking space you want.

The gardens hold more ways to slow down. Secluded Jacuzzis sit beside the planting, morning yoga offers a gentle start and the open-air spa brings the surroundings into treatment time. You can be active in the Arenal region and still keep a day with fewer plans, letting the resort provide the rhythm.

Dinner, then another kind of forest walk

Asia Luna brings bold flavors to the evening, while a private garden-side dinner offers a more intimate way to dine. These experiences give the stay texture beyond the room, from a meal among the gardens to watching for nocturnal wildlife.

Howler monkeys add another reason to listen to the forest, and sloths offer something to look for among the trees. A guided twilight walk explores a different side of that habitat, with a naturalist helping you notice nocturnal life. It is the contrast between those discoveries and private time in the accommodation that gives the stay its satisfying rhythm.

La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano region offer waterfall visits, whitewater adventures and more time outdoors. Nayara Gardens lets those outings sit alongside a stay with its own appeal. For a honeymoon, a family vacation or time away together, the attraction is the balance: explore the region, then return to the privacy and greenery you have made room to enjoy.

Ways to enjoy Nayara Gardens

  • Rainforest paths, garden greenery and private terraces make the hours between excursions part of the appeal, with time to watch for birds, howler monkeys and sloths.
  • Choose the accommodation around its outdoor comfort: Rainforest Pool Villa has a plunge pool, while Arenal Pool Casita includes a hot tub. Check the individual layout and outlook for the stay you want.
  • Indoor and outdoor showers, plush robes and locally sourced bath products extend the rainforest retreat into the routines of returning and getting ready.
  • Secluded garden Jacuzzis, morning yoga and open-air spa treatment spaces give you several ways to enjoy a day with fewer plans.
  • Asia Luna's bold flavors and the possibility of a private garden-side dinner make dining part of the experience, including evenings when you prefer to stay at the resort.
  • Guided twilight nature walks introduce the rainforest after daylight fades; wildlife encounters depend on the forest rather than an arranged sighting.
  • La Fortuna and the Arenal region provide waterfalls and whitewater outings, allowing honeymoons, couples' trips and family stays to balance resort time with exploration.

beautiful hotel and room, attentive staff, great food

The staff at this hotel were exemplary—everyone was friendly and incredibly accommodating. We found the property stunningly beautiful and very peaceful, and our room was wonderful. We had all of our meals on site, and the food at each of the restaurants was spectacular and the vegan options were creative and delicious. While we did find the restaurants a bit pricier than other places we stayed, the excellent service and quality of the food made it well worth it. One small observation: we understand this is a family-friendly hotel, but our casita was situated between two casitas with families and children. At times the children were quite loud—we could hear them clearly while sitting on our deck and even inside our room with the doors closed. It might be helpful if there were reminders for guests to keep noise levels down when outside so as not to disturb others. At one point we did leave our room because the noise was quite loud, though this was only a minor inconvenience since the property is large and there were many other peaceful places for us to go.

I cant say enough about this place. Expensive but worth every penny! From the staff to the service to the food. Every aspect if the place was outstanding. This part definitely make our trip awesome. We did a few tours from the hotel & again pricy but 100% outstanding & worth it

Excellent! Loved our bungalow and everything about this place. Only drawback is that it’s a ways from town.

Perfect hotel. I wasn't aware of the whole campus, that you could do all the restaurants and pools and how spread out it was for walking or hiking. It is a much bigger place with new things every day. Had I known, I might have spent more time there. One this trip, I'm glad we had the variety of experiences we did, though. The staff was amazing. So enthusiastic about your country and so helpful to us. It was nice to be around such warm people. The food was amazing. The variety and quality were great and I appreciated the gluten free options. The staff was aware of my allergy before I told them and super helpful. It felt nice for it not to be a weird thing that inconvenienced everyone. This is a place you can truly enjoy just being at without even doing anything, as the walks watching birds and seeing plants and flowers were awesome all on their own. The views from bridges and pools were great. The spa was lovely. Best massage in the best environment I've experienced. I don't have a lot more feedback, since everything was just perfect and above expectations.

Nayara got a few emails from us beforehand and tended to say “cannot”. But onsite they did everything we had requested and more. Fantastic nature tours w bellboys, food at Asia Luna was high priced for okay outcome but ramen excellent. Alexandra at check in excellent.
