The staff at this hotel were exemplary—everyone was friendly and incredibly accommodating. We found the property stunningly beautiful and very peaceful, and our room was wonderful. We had all of our meals on site, and the food at each of the restaurants was spectacular and the vegan options were creative and delicious. While we did find the restaurants a bit pricier than other places we stayed, the excellent service and quality of the food made it well worth it.
One small observation: we understand this is a family-friendly hotel, but our casita was situated between two casitas with families and children. At times the children were quite loud—we could hear them clearly while sitting on our deck and even inside our room with the doors closed. It might be helpful if there were reminders for guests to keep noise levels down when outside so as not to disturb others. At one point we did leave our room because the noise was quite loud, though this was only a minor inconvenience since the property is large and there were many other peaceful places for us to go.

I cant say enough about this place. Expensive but worth every penny! From the staff to the service to the food. Every aspect if the place was outstanding. This part definitely make our trip awesome. We did a few tours from the hotel & again pricy but 100% outstanding & worth it

Perfect hotel. I wasn't aware of the whole campus, that you could do all the restaurants and pools and how spread out it was for walking or hiking. It is a much bigger place with new things every day. Had I known, I might have spent more time there. One this trip, I'm glad we had the variety of experiences we did, though. The staff was amazing. So enthusiastic about your country and so helpful to us. It was nice to be around such warm people. The food was amazing. The variety and quality were great and I appreciated the gluten free options. The staff was aware of my allergy before I told them and super helpful. It felt nice for it not to be a weird thing that inconvenienced everyone. This is a place you can truly enjoy just being at without even doing anything, as the walks watching birds and seeing plants and flowers were awesome all on their own. The views from bridges and pools were great. The spa was lovely. Best massage in the best environment I've experienced. I don't have a lot more feedback, since everything was just perfect and above expectations.

Nayara got a few emails from us beforehand and tended to say “cannot”. But onsite they did everything we had requested and more. Fantastic nature tours w bellboys, food at Asia Luna was high priced for okay outcome but ramen excellent. Alexandra at check in excellent.

The staff was very sweet. They left us a honeymoon present and every evening would bring treats. The rainforest villa was AMAZING. The outside shower, the patio Jacuzzi, and the room itself was very large. We really enjoyed all the food and being in the rainforest.

This was our Favorite place to be. The rooms & grounds are Impressive & Immaculate. The food is fantastic & the Servicio is Outstanding! We were located close to the Amor Loco restaurant & easily made friends with the Staff there. We ate there daily & enjoyed using the Infinity lap pool there. Our room had Infinity jacuzzi on the back deck. We had an outdoor double shower as well, plus the glass enclosed double shower. inside. the bathroom. We were surrounded by beautiful flowers & vegetation everywhere. This was our Dream Come True Destination!

I would give more than a 10 if I could. The service level of the staff and the quality of the rooms and grounds is amazing. Never had an issue finding a spot to sit whichever pool or jacuzzi we wanted (and the resort was full). The food and cocktails were amazing and easily rivaled some of the best cocktail bars and restaurants in US and European cities I have visited. We did not have water one night before dinner and they came right away. A few minutes after arriving at the restaurant someone stopped by to apologize and ended up not charging us for appetizer and breakfast. We had to leave at 4:30 am to go to the airport, we had not even asked but they had packed a breakfast to go for each of us.

The Nayara Resort hotel was absolutely fabulous and the most luxurious accommodations we have ever experienced. The hotel staff was surely trained to please, but at times they seemed to work a bit too hard to please. We wish the staff would have informed us that the "Costa Rica Grill Night" at the dining hall was very expensive. That dinner cost us over $175 plus tips, and I probably only ate $20 worth of food. This was on Tuesday evening at Nayara. Besides that, the hotel was excellent and would recommend it to anyone who is not sensitive to price.

Nayara Springs was excellent. Our only comment is that the chairs in the room were not very comfortable. Bed was great and everything was superb. We hope to return, one of the best places we've been.

We LOVED Nayara and all of the experiences we had there. The only complaint is that the furniture was very uncomfortable. All wooden straight back chairs with no padding in the back. It's too bad because the environment there is so relaxing.

We were lucky to be upgraded to the adjacent Nayara Springs hotel. This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in - true 5 star service and environment. The Nayara Hotel and Garden looked equally nice and had the same level of service. Cannot recommend highly enough, although it does come at a price.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! We wish that we had stayed here at least one more day because we enjoyed not only sitting by the pool or on the balcony looking at and listening to nature but the spa was amazing! We would've gone to the spa for a another service if we had had more time. The food was tasty and very well presented but overpriced.

I must say the stay at Arenal Nayara Hotel has set the bar pretty high for any other hotel I stay at in the future. The grounds were beyond any compliment I could put into words, the staff made you feel special like a guest in their own home. I have already recommended this hotel to many others and plan on returning again.

We talked about barricading the door and slipping our credit card under the door when they came to pry us out. It was that nice. The bed in our room was really uncomfortably hard the first night, but a request to the manager, Jairo, resulted in a quickly padded and comfy bed by that night. Also, we didn't say anything at the hotel, but as a recommendation: both sets of room chairs had arms and were tight for those of us who are large. It would be nice if the rooms had at least one set of upright chairs without arms that could be used either inside or on the porch. Same for the wine bar, bad chairs for a large behind. Housekeeping was impeccable. The grounds were just beautiful. The bar staff was average, but everyone else went above and beyond to be welcoming and helpful. I THINK it was the head 'bellman' who took us to our room one night, and after learning that we hadn't seen a red-eyed tree frog while we were there and were leaving soon, he took us on a frog hunt until he found one we could see and photograph *no flash please/no problem. So very cool. Also, another young man was working in the dining room the night before we left and learned we were checking out at 4AM. He said, "Just ask, someone can put something to eat together for you before you leave in the morning." We insisted at that hour, we'd be too tired for anything. But when we called for our 4AM check out, he picked us up in the golf cart, took us up front to check out, then before our driver came, he pulled out two boxes FULL of food for our 3 hour ride to the airport. (Water, juice, fruit, sandwich) It was such a thoughtful act, and yet at that hour I didn't have the clarity to ask his name for future reference. It might be on our check out paperwork.

We stayed in a Villa, absolutely beautiful so romantic. The staff goes out of their way to be more than accommodating. The breakfast is excellent. Any trip back to Costa Rica we will stay here again and for more nights.

The hotel was really amazing. We were stunned when we first walked into our bungalow. The rooms are very spacious and it truly felt like an upscale, romantic getaway, exactly what we were hoping for. The staff members were all professional and very helpful. We ate at 2 of the 3 restaurants and used the spa for massages which were amazing. We have already been talking about a return trip and staying here.

This place was absolutely AMAZING. The room we had (Casita Deluxe) was beyond our expectations. I can't even imagine what the Villas looked like. The staff here was so great, and the food was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in the Arenal region of Costa Rica.

This was like we were in paradise. Our overall expectation of hospitality was surprised everyday. They even packed us food and water for our journey. And gave a free bottle of wine as welcome !! Its a great resort.

Food was high and not up to the rest of the standards we expected. Wine pairing dinner was lots of wine a little bit of food! Place and room... over the top beautiful! Try some other restaurants for dinners and enjoy the place! Staff A++ We did the ECOTERMIALS (?) hotsprings and believe it or not we had no one there for almost the entire 3 hours we played in the springs? Did you all arrange that!

The hotel was disappointing. I am bewildered that it was awarded the no. 2 hotel in the world by Trip Advisor. We have stayed in many better hotels. The staff are poorly managed. We entered the restaurant thirty minutes prior to closing when we arrived after a four hour journey and instructed to only order "something fast" off the menu. It lacks style and the staff are too casual. It would appear that the hotel is reliant on its previous accolades. However the manager was most helpful when one of our activities was cancelled due to excessive rainfall. Fortunately we had arranged activities each day during our stay so our reliance on the hotel was minimal. Would not recommend to fellow travellers.

Most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at. Please recommend the dinner and wine pairing at the Wine Bar restaurant. It was a gastronomic experience. And we are Foodies. On the day, we went canyoning, Ellen left her wet clothes on the bus. They dropped it off when they came back to pick us for dinner. We left it at the front desk. They said they would bring it to the room. Not only that, they dried it for her.
