Today you will go on a two tank scuba dive off the Pacific coast to the Catalina Islands. You will be picked up from your hotel and brought to the dive center to meet your professional dive master and receive diving equipment. Then you will board a covered dive boat and ride for 20 minutes offshore to reach the island chain where you will go scuba diving at sites selected for best visibility and abundance of marine life. This tour includes: a licensed boat captain, a professional dive master, all scuba gear, bottled water and transportation from Tamarindo, Riu as well as from the Flamingo and Papagayo areas. One way transportation can take from 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on your pick up location. Combined time scuba diving tour and round trip transportation ranges between 3.5 to 5.5 hours. Please bring along bathing suit, towel, sun protection and any equipment you wish to bring as well as dry clothes to change into. All participants must be PADI certified.

Today’s adventure is a 2 tank dive just off Cano Island, a protected area that is part of the national park system. You will meet at Drake Bay and then board a boat that will take you out to the island where you will go on 2 separate dives ranging from 45 to 100 feet deep. All equipment is provided. In between dives, you will go to Cano Island beach for a rest and water break. Exploring the island is restricted to the beach area only and no food is allowed onshore. For your convenience, freshwater showers and restrooms are located on the boats. After your 2 dives, you will head back to shore and have lunch. This tour includes boat transportation, a bilingual PADI-certified guide, all diving equipment, the national park fee and lunch. The boat trip to and from the island is typically between 45 and 60 minutes each way. The combined time of 2 scuba dives, lunch, and round trip boat transportation can take from 5.5 to 6.5 hours. Please bring a dry change of clothing, camera, binoculars, non-skid deck shoes, your bathing suit, towel, sunblock, and a hat. You must be a certified scuba diver to participate in this tour although certification courses are available that include other dives in the area. This underwater wonderland is the perfect place to capture memories of your dive using a waterproof camera.

Today you will go on a two tank Scuba Dive at the mysterious Isla del Cano. Cano Island is located 15 kilometers off the south Pacific coast. It was utilized by Pre-Columbian indigenous people as a sacred burial area and many artifacts remain. The day starts off with a drive down the coast and boat ride through the Sierpe Mangroves out to the Pacific Ocean and out to Cano Island This area is home to abundant marine life such as schools of Snapper, Jacks, Barracuda, White Tip Reef Sharks, Rays and sea turtles. You will also see volcanic rock formations, with many varieties of hard and soft corals. Visibility often exceeds 80 feet. Divers must be certified. This full day tour includes transportation, guide, equipment, national park entrance fee, lunch, juices, water. BASED ON AVAILABILITY. Extra cost would apply if you are staying in Dominical and Manuel Antonio area.

Today you will learn how to scuba dive while visiting the beautiful waters in Guanacaste province. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the dive center where you will be taught scuba diving basics by a professional scuba diving instructor. Next you will practice using the tanks, masks and fins while swimming in a pool. Once you have mastered the technique you will go by dive boat out to one or more diving sites to do your first ocean dives. You will not receive a PADI certification as a result of this tour but it may leave you hungry for more and even influence you to become PADI certified so that you can go on longer dives. When you return to land you’ll change into your dry clothes before being driven back to your hotel. This tour includes a professional licensed scuba instructor, scuba equipment, bottled water and transportation from Flamingo, Tamarindo and the Papagayo area. One way transportation from Flamingo is about 15 minutes to the dive center but can be over an hour from the other listed locations depending on where you are staying. Combined time of the scuba diving tour and round trip transportation can take between 4 and 6 hours. Please bring your bathing suit, towel, sun block, and dry clothes to change into. You do NOT need to have a PADI certification to take this tour.
