Sea Turtle Observation at Corozalito Beach

Corozalito Beach stands as a sanctuary for three endangered sea turtle species – the Olive Ridley, Leatherback, and Hawksbill Black – making it a cherished treasure in Costa Rica. Conservation efforts strive to protect this vital nesting ground, where disturbances such as bright lights and noise can disrupt the delicate nesting process. Visitors are respectfully asked to wear dark clothing and refrain from using cameras or lights to ensure the safety and success of the nesting turtles. Join us on a guided night tour, available year-round but best from June to early January, for a rare opportunity to witness the mesmerizing spectacle of turtles laying eggs and hatchlings beginning their journey to the sea. Led by experienced guides, these tours not only increase your chances of witnessing nesting and hatching but also support local conservation efforts. With an itinerary starting at 7 pm, guests are provided with fascinating insights into the area's ecology while silently observing nature's wonders, accompanied by drinks and snacks. Come experience the magic of Corozalito Beach, where every visit is a celebration of nature's beauty and resilience.
