Full Day Jungle Adventure

Your Puerto Viejo Jungle Adventure Tour is designed for the experienced athlete who loves a challenge. This is a day full of hiking, climbing, swinging and rappelling through the jungle near the southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The tour includes crossing a hammock bridge over the canopy, hiking down a river, swimming in natural pools, rappelling down a waterfall, climbing a giant tree and more.

Your day begins with transportation from your hotel to the Jungle Adventure operation base. You will be taken to meet your professional guide who will explain all activities, safety rules and equipment for this adventure tour in Puerto Viejo.

After the security meeting, you will cross a hammock style hanging bridge as you make your way to the Carbon River where you will hike along the shore. Parts of the hike will require canyoning equipment: harness, rope, and helmet. Your naturalist guide will assist you with all equipment as well as help you locate and identify any plants and animals that you may see while in the jungle.

You will have an opportunity to swim in natural pools to cool off and relax. At the end of this hike, you will rappel down a waterfall that is approximately 60 feet tall.

You will continue through the jungle until you reach a 50 ft tree that you will climb, using the same equipment. At the top of the tree is the platform where you will start the canopy tour. This includes the 60 ft Tarzan Swing. Then you will fly across the jungle on a 1000 foot cable aptly named Superman.

With all of the adventures during the day, you will have likely worked up a hearty appetite. Fruits and water will be provided to keep you hydrated and energized!

This tour includes all safety equipment, a certified, bilingual guide and transportation from your hotel in Puerto Viejo, Cahuita or Punta Uva. You will be provided with fresh fruit, drinks, water, fruits and all entrance fees.

One way transportation from your hotel can take from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on where you are staying. The entire tour consisting of jungle activities, lunch and round trip transportation can take between 6 to 7 hours. Please bring insect repellent, fully enclosed hiking shoes, a swim suit and towel, a hat for protection from the sun, sun glasses, and your camera. This is a full day of exercise and adrenaline rushes in a beautiful jungle setting designed for the thrill seeking adventurer.
