Note that despite the name, there are no jaguars at this animal rescue center.
Following the enlightening visit, we'll transport you to the pristine paradise of Punta Uva, one of the most beautiful places in the area. Here, you'll receive a safety briefing before embarking on a sea kayaking expedition that runs parallel to a coastline adorned with dramatic cliffs, mysterious caves, and lush rainforests. Paddle your way through this enchanting landscape and immerse yourself in the wonders of nature.
The adventure continues as we transition to river kayaking, where you'll glide through the serene waters of the rainforest. Keep a keen eye out for the abundant wildlife, including monkeys, sloths, vibrant birds, river turtles, bats, and iguanas. Your professional guide will provide fascinating insights into this thriving ecosystem.
Back on the beach, take a well-deserved break to relax, swim, and savor fresh fruit and nicely presented sandwiches, all while soaking in the tropical vibes. Then, it's time for a hike to the magnificent Punta Uva, offering a breathtaking scenic view that will leave you in awe.
The itinerary for the day is thoughtfully planned, starting with a pick-up from your hotel in Puerto Viejo at 9:00 AM and concluding with your return at 4:30 PM.
To make the most of this adventure, remember to bring comfortable water shoes that stay securely on your feet, a swimsuit, sunscreen, a hat, a long-sleeve shirt or rash guard for sun protection, a waterproof camera, a water bottle, a towel, insect repellent, binoculars, a raincoat, and a bit of cash.
This experience requires a minimum of 2 people and includes transportation, the services of a professional guide, gear (lifejackets, paddles, and dry bags), all entrance fees, and a delightful array of fruits and snacks.

At the Jaguar Rescue Center, you'll observe diverse animal species. During river kayaking, keep an eye out for monkeys, sloths, vibrant birds, river turtles, bats, and iguanas. Note that despite its name, the rescue center does not house jaguars.
