How much should I tip my waiter or waitress?
In restaurants, a 10% service charge is usually included in the price (and 13% sales tax), so check your bill for that. The 10% service charge is distributed between the server, kitchen, hostess, etc... Typically people leave a little extra for the server depending on the service received, anywhere from another 5-10% depending on your experience.
When breakfast is included with the hotel stay, $1 per person is sufficient.
