7-day Costa Rica itinerary
What happens each day on Pura Vida Inclusive Adventure?
Follow the starting itinerary day by day, then use Customize to explore stays, experiences, transportation, and pace.
Current route: Rio Perdido → Jobo
Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica
After your private transfer from Liberia airport, settle into your stay in inland Guanacaste, your base for the next three nights.
Day 2: Above the Río Blanco canyon
Today, explore the canyon from above on the Canyon Canopy Zipline Adventure. Cables carry you across the landscape, with a swing, challenge bridge and climbing routes adding variety to the circuit. Back at Rio Perdido Thermal Springs and Hotel, the rest of the day returns to the slower rhythm of your bungalow stay.
Day 3: Into the river canyon
The White Water Tubing Adventure brings a different perspective on Rio Perdido: moving water, narrow rock walls and stretches of slides and rapids. It is an active river outing, with swimming skills and safety limits required. The contrast with yesterday’s heights reveals another side of the canyon.
Day 4: From river country to El Jobo
Leave the inland landscape behind and continue to your selected hotel in the El Jobo and Salinas Bay area. Three nights on the Pacific coast bring a new pace.
Day 5: An open day by the Pacific
No guided outing is scheduled today. Let the beach and your coastal stay set the pace, whether you prefer time along the shore or an unhurried day around the resort.
Day 6: Another day at the coast
Your final full day is also open. Enjoy more of El Jobo and your coastal stay, with time to revisit the part of the seaside routine you have enjoyed most.
Day 7: Back to Liberia airport
Return from the coast to Liberia International Airport, arriving three hours before your flight.

Rio Perdido’s canyons and an all-inclusive Pacific retreat
Near Bagaces, Rio Perdido brings you into a landscape shaped by forest, rock and flowing water. Warm mineral waters meet the cooler Río Blanco deep within the canyons, creating natural grottos among river rocks and boulders. Elevated bungalows provide a comfortable forest retreat, while trails, mineral pools and panoramic restaurant views invite you to enjoy the surroundings between adventures. Three nights here give the inland landscape a place in your vacation, rather than making it a brief stop on the way to the beach.
The Canyon Canopy Zipline Adventure reveals that landscape from above. Its circuit combines zipline cables with a pendulum cable, Tarzan swing, challenge bridge and via ferrata climbing sections, bringing variety to the journey across Río Blanco’s canyon. The next day, White Water Tubing takes you down into the river corridor. Narrow rock walls frame stretches of floating water, slides and rapids, with opportunities to look for tropical birds and monkeys along the way. These two included outings provide distinctly different perspectives on Rio Perdido.
At Dreams Las Mareas, the week turns toward the Pacific. The El Jobo beachfront, tropical swimming pools and choice of restaurants and bars create a welcoming setting for three coastal nights. Your all-inclusive resort plan brings a different rhythm after the canyon adventures: time for the shore, a swim or a leisurely meal. Days five and six have no scheduled guided outing, leaving two full days to enjoy the palm-lined coast and resort at your own pace.
Together, the forest bungalow stay, two canyon adventures and all-inclusive beach retreat make this a complete vacation with a satisfying balance of activity and relaxation.
