Your day will begin with a ride on a 4 x 4 through the rain forest following the Savegre River before arriving at the thatched roof pueblo of Silencio where you will stop for breakfast. After breakfast, you will want to put in your lunch order so that arrangements for your lunch will be in place for your return. Your guide and safety kayaker will go over all safety lessons and instructions while you board your rafts. You will be gradually introduced to Class II through Class IV rapids as your experienced guide safely helps you navigate these waters. There will be stops for swimming along the way as well as visiting waterfalls. Birding enthusiasts will appreciate the abundant species living in this area including parrots, toucans, ospreys, egrets, cormorants and kingfishers. The Rio Savegre is a perfect river for first timers or anybody that wants to experience the thrill of whitewater rafting without extreme rapids. The Damas Island Riverboat Ride is an amazing experience and opportunity to see numerous species of wildlife. The refuge is home to large populations of caimans and crocodiles, which can be observed at nearly every turn. It is not only reptiles though as the area is also home to Capuchin monkeys, anteaters, sloths and other mammals. Birdwatchers will delight as many species either live here or migrate through including parrots, toucans, roseate spoonbills, herons and other waterfowl. Depending on the distance from Manuel Antonio to your lodging, shuttle transportation may take from 15 minutes to an hour and a half. Regulations restrict bringing food into the park, and you may only bring water in with a reusable bottle. However, there is a new small food kiosk inside the park and water bottle refill stations.

Depending on the tide table and the bus chedule, there may be a wait time for transportation which can be explained at time of booking.

The Catamaran Cruise is a great way to observe tropical islands, marine life and the beautiful Pacific coastline in style! After cruising along and taking in the scenery we will stop to snorkel. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, sea turtles and various tropical fish species making this a highlight for many! This fun filled half day excursion includes transportation, drinks and a meal.

It is important to mention that between the months of May to November there is usually a period of rain in the area so the Catamaran services will be offered exclusively during the morning.

Today’s canopy tour is an aerial expedition ziplining over the jungle that is located where the dry forest of the northern Pacific transitions into the southern Pacific rainforest. This adventure includes transportation from your hotel in Jaco, Herradura, and Puntarenas. You will have bilingual certified guides to help you every step of the way. At the end of the tour, you will be served fresh fruit and bottled water. One way transportation from your hotel can take 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on where you are staying. The total time for this tour, including round-trip transit to your hotel, is typically between 2.5 and 3.5 hours. Please wear comfortable clothing and fully enclosed shoes. Bring your camera, binoculars, rain gear, insect repellent, and sunscreen. You will have the option to record your experience with your own camera, like a Go Pro, that clips onto your helmet, or you can choose to purchase the picture taken of you on cable #6 if you like.

Today you will go on a guided tour to Carara National Park, which is home to a wide variety of endangered species, making it an important and vital eco system. Carara is a favorite with bird watchers with approximately 150 scarlet macaws that nest and feed throughout the reserve and can usually be seen around dusk flying west down the Rio Tarcoles towards the coastal mangroves where they roost for the night. This full day tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and lunch.

Today you will go on an all inclusive trip to Isla Tortuga. You’ll be picked up and brought to a private marina where you will be served a delicious hot breakfast and coffee. You will meet the captain and crew of a 71-foot catamaran that will take you on a 90 minute cruise to Tortuga Island. Your guide will show you points of interest along the way. Once on the island you can explore as the crew sets up a white table cloth 4 course meal for your lunch. Afterwards you can choose from a variety of afternoon activities including guided snorkeling, a banana boat ride, or just relax on the beach or on the boat. Unlimited non-alcoholic beverages will be provided and alcoholic drinks can be purchased. You’ll cruise back to the mainland on the catamaran before being driven back to your hotel. Professional guides with safety kayaker training will take you on this seven-mile adrenaline run from mountain top to sea level. Round trip transportation by shuttle included from Manuel Antonio but for other outlying areas, such as Jaco or Dominical, there is an additional shuttle fee.
