Playa Langosta & Tamarindo
Playa Langosta’s quieter stretch of sand invites long walks and lazy afternoons just south of Tamarindo. About a 20-minute walk north brings you to beachfront restaurants, small shops and bars, with live music and dancing adding to the town’s evening energy. Explore Tamarindo for more ideas along the coast.
Your Tamarindo beach-week route
The sample beach week lets you unpack once for six nights at Occidental Tamarindo Resort, with private transfers connecting your beach stay to Liberia International Airport. Between outings, the freeform pool, sports courts and daytime and evening resort activities give you plenty to enjoy without leaving the property.
A Tamarindo beach week with waves, forest and time to unwind
The sample itinerary’s Day 3 surf lesson pairs you with a professional instructor, turning time at the beach into a chance to build confidence on a board. Practise your stance on the sand, then work on catching waves in the water with personalized guidance.
Day 5 of the sample itinerary brings a different kind of movement at Congo Trails: zipping between platforms in the forest canopy and crossing hanging bridges with your guides. The three open days give these adventures room to breathe, whether you spend them beside the pool or exploring nearby Tamarindo. Marino Las Baulas National Park is another nearby possibility, known for seasonally nesting sea turtles; a sighting is never guaranteed.
How can you personalize this Tamarindo beach week?
- For a gentler outing, consider a river float; for an early start, try a guided birdwatching tour. Both are available alternatives to the sample surf and Congo Trails outings.
- Spend more time on the water with a sunset catamaran outing, or leave your open days free for the pool, beach walks and Tamarindo’s restaurants.
- Choose private airport transfers or request a rental car for the complete Liberia–Playa Langosta–Liberia journey. Your planner confirms rental collection, return and tour meeting arrangements.
Pacific Trade Winds can help balance these choices around your dates, interests and budget, with each activity’s suitability and final price confirmed before booking.
Planning details and qualified pricing
Playa Langosta has undercurrents and shallow coral and rock, so the beach in front of the resort is better suited to beachcombing than swimming. Its surf breaks suit experienced surfers; the resort pool is an alternative for a swim. Closed shoes with good traction are useful for the bridges, forest paths and uphill walking at Congo Trails.
The all-inclusive plan covers the stated buffet meals, snacks and domestic drinks. Imported and top-shelf drinks, à la carte dining and other separately charged services are outside that plan.
This vacation has recently been priced as low as $1,399 per person, based on double occupancy. Contract and dynamic rates fluctuate daily with the season and the rooms available at the hotel. Your exact quote reflects your travel dates, room occupancy, transportation and customized itinerary; any seasonal rate applies only to eligible dates and restrictions may apply.
Rates include current taxes, hotels, tours and transfers as described unless otherwise indicated. Prices are subject to change and exclude international airfare, travel insurance and services not expressly mentioned.
