Our representative will be waiting for your arrival at Liberia Airport and then we’ll provide a private transfer through the scenic countryside to Arenal Volcano. Arenal is not only the Adventure and Hot Springs Capital of all of Central America but also one of the most beautiful places to visit in Costa Rica! You’ll stay at the Arenal Springs Resort and Spa, which is an eco-resort with onsite hot springs and spectacular volcano views. Over the next couple of days, you’ll be able to choose two adventure or nature tours depending on your preference. The choices for Day 2 include a guided hike at Arenal Hanging Bridges where you will explore the rainforest from the ground up as you walk through the treetops over suspension bridges observing wildlife, OR a high-speed Canopy Zipline Adventure soaring on cables through the jungle. On Day 3 you can choose either a Riverboat Safari cruise down a wilderness river looking at wildlife living within the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, OR go on a thrilling Whitewater Rafting Adventure down the Class II and III rapids of Rio Balsa. You’ll also have plenty of ME TIME to explore this unique area as well as immerse yourself in the onsite hot springs at Arenal Springs Resort.

Next, you’ll be on your way to Playa Conchal in Guanacaste, where you’ll stay at the all-inclusive beachfront Westin Playa Conchal Resort and Spa. Playa Conchal is one of the prettiest beaches on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica and the Westin offers everything you need for a relaxing stay at the beach. Nothing is planned over the next couple of days, so you can relax, unwind, and enjoy this all-inclusive portion of your vacation. If you decide to explore the area, we recommend checking out nearby Playa Tamarindo for beach shops, surfing, restaurants, nightlife, and more. You may also enjoy visiting the nearby national parks with many tours available in the area should you decide to fill your days with extra activities.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica and on to Arenal Volcano!

We will be waiting for your arrival at Liberia Airport and then provide you with a private transfer to Arenal Springs Resort and Spa at Arenal Volcano. Enjoy the resort’s hot springs and amazing volcano views!

Day 2: Choice: Canopy Hanging Bridges OR Zipline (B)

Choose between a guided nature hike at the Arenal Hanging Bridges, OR  go on a thrill-seeking Canopy Zipline Adventure tour. Afterwards, come back and enjoy a relaxing soak in the onsite hot springs.

Day 3: Choice: Riverboat Safari or Rio Balsa Rafting (B, L)

You’ll once again be able to choose either a nature tour, Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge Riverboat Safari, OR an adventure tour, Whitewater Rafting on the Rio Balsa.

Day 4: Transfer to Playa Conchal, Guanacaste (B, D)

We’ll provide transportation from Arenal Springs Resort to the Westin Playa Conchal Resort and Spa at Playa Conchal, Guanacaste. Here you can indulge in the resort’s all-inclusive features and sink your feet into the soft shell beach sand at this gorgeous scenic beach!

Days 5 & 6: Beach Days (All-Inclusive)

Enjoy some quality ME TIME exploring the beach at Playa Conchal. The all-inclusive plan at the Westin includes select, non-motorized watersports to pass the time, or just relax on a blanket under a shady tree.

Day 7: Back to the Airport (B)

Note that hot springs are not included in this version, though can be added for an additional price.
