Paddle the Río Sarapiquí’s Class II–III rapids one day; follow Pure Trek’s 4x4 approach, forest hike and waterfall descents the next. Day 1: Liberia airport to Arenal Volcano
Meet your representative at Liberia International Airport for your VIP greeting, then travel privately to the Arenal area. Settle into your hotel for three nights near La Fortuna—the rainforest chapter of your week begins here.
Day 2: Whitewater Rafting Río Sarapiquí Class II and III
Head out for a guided ride on the Río Sarapiquí’s Class II–III rapids. Paddle through the green river corridor, pause for a Costa Rican lunch, then return to your Arenal hotel with time to enjoy the rest of the day.
Day 3: Canyoning Pure Trek Ultimate Adventure Rappel
A back-road 4x4 ride and forest hike lead into Pure Trek’s canyon. Rappel beside waterfalls and scramble between descents, with guides and equipment along the way. A Costa Rican meal rounds out the adventure before the return to your Arenal hotel.
Day 4: Arenal Volcano to Playa Conchal
Leave Arenal behind on the shared road transfer to Playa Conchal. Check into your coastal hotel for three nights and let the pace ease: the next two days are yours to enjoy.
Day 5: An open day at Playa Conchal
No guided outing is scheduled today. Spend time along Playa Conchal’s distinctive shell-sand shore, linger at your hotel, and enjoy a day with room to unfold.
Day 6: Another open coastal day
Another open day invites you to enjoy the coast at your own pace. Stay with the beach-and-resort rhythm, or explore an optional outing if another adventure calls.
Day 7: Return to Liberia International Airport

A smooth road from Arenal to the coast
A private transfer welcomes you from Liberia airport, a shared road transfer connects Arenal with Playa Conchal, and a private transfer returns you for your flight home. How can I customize Insano Banano for my trip?
- Can I change the adventures? Yes. Request a Peñas Blancas wildlife float, Mistico hanging bridges, or Don Juan coffee and chocolate as alternatives to a river or canyon outing. Your planner confirms the chosen day and activity requirements.
- What other hotels can I consider? In Arenal, compare The Springs’ luxury thermal pools with Los Lagos’ pools and waterslide. At the coast, W Costa Rica offers a contemporary higher-end stay with an available all-inclusive plan; Hotel Conchal is a smaller, more economical Brasilito option. Confirm rooms, meal plans and the revised quote with your planner.
- Can I adjust the route and pace? Yes. Request a different destination order or adjust the balance of adventure and open coastal time to suit your party.

Sarapiquí lists age 7; bring a reusable water bottle. For Pure Trek, tell us if you weigh more than 200 pounds so suitable equipment can be checked. Share travelers’ ages, mobility and comfort with heights; individual alternatives carry their own stated requirements.
