Bats Island, located off the Santa Elena Peninsula in Guanacaste is a great dive spot for a variety of marine life, but most visited to see Bull Sharks. Punta Uva and Manzanillo
The Caribbean coast has coral reef just off the coastline. Punta Uva is always a favorite with dive spots just five minutes off the beach. Gandoca Manzanillo, just south of Punta Uva is another great dive spot. The reefs at both locations are close to the surface and are home to a wide variety of marine life including nurse sharks, black tip sharks, eels, corals, urchins, rays, loads of smaller tropical fish and much more.
