Playa Conchal gives this week its unhurried pace: a beach scattered with tiny shells, tropical gardens, and a lagoon-style pool just back from the Pacific. Unpack at the Westin for six nights and leave three days open for whatever feels like a holiday to you. The scenery changes on two outings. At Hacienda Guachipelin, trade the shoreline for zipline cables, rocky canyon walls and volcanic hot springs near Rincón de la Vieja. With Lazy Lizard, follow the Guanacaste coast to a secluded cove for snorkeling, kayaking and a picnic aboard. Then return to the same resort, with no hotel move breaking up the week.

Your week begins with a welcome at Liberia airport and a private ride to Playa Conchal. At the Westin, tropical gardens and the Pacific shoreline set the scene for six nights by the beach. Settle in, enjoy dinner and let the pace of the coast take over.
Make your first full day a slow one. Wander along Playa Conchal’s shell-covered shore, spend the afternoon by the resort pools, and take your time over meals at the Westin. There is no hotel to move to and no excursion on the clock today.
Head inland to Hacienda Guachipelin, where the day takes you from zipline cables to rocky canyon walls near Rincón de la Vieja. Rappel, climb and ride horseback through the landscape, with lunch along the way and volcanic hot springs to finish. Your shared ride brings you back to the Westin for the evening.
Make this a pool-and-beach day, or pick up the pace with tennis, a walk or hike, and non-motorized water sports. The resort’s activities program changes through the week, with evening shows giving you another reason to linger after dinner. There is also golf or a spa treatment if that is your idea of an afternoon well spent.
Board Lazy Lizard at Flamingo and watch Guanacaste’s coastline unroll from the deck. At a secluded cove, slip into the water with a snorkel, take a kayak out, or float with a pool noodle. Drinks and a picnic meal keep the afternoon easy before the sail back to shore and your shared ride to the Westin.
Keep your final full day for the beach and pools, or make room for one more outing. Tamarindo brings a livelier scene with surfing and shopping; fishing and diving bring another way to spend time on the Pacific. Or simply take that last long lunch and stay close to Playa Conchal.
After breakfast, your private transfer takes you from Playa Conchal back to Liberia airport. Pickup is timed to reach the airport about three hours before your flight.

Guachipelin brings a different kind of energy: ziplining, rappelling, rock climbing and horseback riding near Rincón de la Vieja, followed by lunch and a soak in volcanic hot springs. Lazy Lizard slows things down again with a coastal sail, a snorkeling stop, kayaks and a picnic aboard.
Days 2, 4 and 6 are yours to enjoy at the resort. Swim in the pools, stroll the beach, play tennis or join the changing activities program. For a different afternoon, there are water sports, golf and spa treatments, or a trip into Tamarindo for surfing and shopping.
From $1,795 pp*; the final price depends on dates, party size, available rooms and any changes. The all-inclusive plan covers meals at select restaurants and select drinks; this itinerary lists 17 meals. Golf, spa services and extra outings cost more. Bedding requests are confirmed at check-in. Tour substitutions and changes to transportation may change the meals, pickup arrangements and price. Guachipelin runs Thursday–Saturday from December 15–April 1 and daily except Monday during the rest of the year; participant ages need confirmation. Sailing, snorkeling and wildlife sightings depend on conditions. Exact pickup times and any changed arrangements are settled before booking.
